Now, if Jesse could just learn to kick straight, he WILL be a weapon!

Ah, annoyed someone else posted it before me! An exciting figure. Also, going at two goals a game is a pretty good start!

For a bonus -

Who leads the AFL for one-percenters, as well as being 5th for marks?

I absolutely love Hogan and really believe he is going to be a star and elite key forward. However, gone are the days where you would recruit a young player and think to yourself 'gee this guy is going to be our marque player, we found one here'

The way the game is now, the thought that dampens the future of our stars is whether or not they will just demand to go home when their contract is up and be forced to accept a trade because of that.. I'm not saying Hogan will do this. I just miss the days where players had less of a say with where they would end up and you could appreciate landing and holding onto a star player and building a team around him rather than the thought of losing him.

Who is Tom McDonald.

For $200 who currently sits 13th for tackles?

That doesn't dampen it at all for me. I have no reason to suspect Hogan is going anywhere - plenty of marquee players haven't, in the face of some amazing interest elsewhere. Live in the now and don't spend your whole life crapping yourself over what might but probably won't happen in 5 years time.

I think as the season gets deeper and deeper into the year. The competition will be in awe and realise what melbourne have on their hands here! An absolute competitve beast who isn't even able to drink in the US yet! Wait until he is 23/4 I can see him becoming a locket like figue!!

Did anyone else see him out body two adelaide defenders with his sheer core strength yeaterday?

He is already te general in the fwd line!! Did I say lockett like figure? I meamt Carey!!

Hogan has already had the chance to go home and he extended his contract. By all reports he loves being in Melbourne.

Gee he looks good. My query is on the penetration of his kicking. For those who watched him at Casey and I did can he kick it 50+ metres? I can't remember thinking there was an issue 2 years ago.

Inorite? Who would want employees to choose where they work!

Adapt or die. The club has to find a way to keep (and develop) talent.

Just curious,

What pick did your employer take you at?

Interestingly he's equal 18th for Marks, and equal 17th for marks inside 50M - highlights his lack of experience in finding space on lead near goals (and perhaps on the quality of the ball coming in...

Early days but good signs, when his experience and confidence grows, he should be a gem.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
