Just bought my 2 year old son his 1st pack of footy cards and the 1st card he grabbed was a Gold Coast card and he bent it in half hopefully a good omen

Posted

I'm as nervous as ALL HELL. Hope that's a positive omen! Go Dees!

Just on Gold Coast Jeager O Meara has been stretched off from a NEAFL match with what looks like a serious knee injury.

His career could be on the line here.

O'meara may have done his knee in the NEAFL.

Hope for his sake that ain't so.

Let's hope he's okay.

Hoping to find a pub in Byron that shows the game with full audio. Taking a break from Bluesfest to watch the footy today and tomorrow.

The Tigers fan with us is happy, while the Bombers and Roos fans I'm on holiday with remain hopeful, along with me.

Really excited to see the team play today. Good luck to the 7 playing for the Dees for the first time. Looking forward to Hogan and VanDemon crunching a few GC players early

I am a combination of excited and nervous. Rapt to be here today at the G.

Am at the ground, sitting on the Robbie Flower wing.

Good points:

1) We outnumber them considerably. Them being the Suns fans.

2) The Robbie Flower wing has a lot of people in it. Could be a place to assemble in the future.

3) The new member's scarf is an improvement on last years. At least some imagination went into this one.

The test of my judgements will be reserved until after the match.

So my wife came home and I was sitting in front of the new tv with fox footy on.

She looked at me, looked at the tv, back at me and said "You're a dh"

She threatened to cancel my Melbourne trip however I countered with offering to take her anywhere she wants for dinner. I'm in the clear for now.

Bring on the game!

Tell her watching footy results in a testosterone surge. Mind you a loss is the equivalent of a very cold spoon.

Demons to run out with AC/DC Hells Bells playing.

Nice.

Can report that the price of bottled water is down to $3!

One thing I also take solace in is that at least we don't look like a bunch of Ronald McDonald clowns when we take the field.

I liked the entry music. Sadly, the bells usually toll for us!

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits. I apologize for skipping our annual season review show at the end of last season. After a disapponting season filled with off-field antics and a heated trade week, I needed a break. Thankfully, the offseason has recharged me, and I’m back—ready t
