Any goss on how Blease went over the whole match? We know full well how good Mitch is when he is fit. Six goals is about right. You can't stop this guy when he is firing. My condolence is that the Prince will play 20 games vs Mitch's ten. Of course given our luck those career averages will reverse.

And if you knew you would be congratulating Paul Roos and our footy department for showing such GUTS in making the decision they did!!

He is now Geelong's problem,

Good luck with that Geelong!

I don't really care what the reason is..i just wish it was made public

because once again we have been shafted so a top side gets a gun and we are still down below sea level

Mitch Clark getting a free ride at Geelong and James Hird still coaching Essendon is really testing my fabric towards the game

I am amazed the media have accepted the Black Dog scenario...they are all happy for him...

We lose a power forward without a word being said...

Whole thing stinks.

Forget Clark.

Cockatoo on the other hand looks a serious talent!

You going to start a thread bagging us for picking Petracca/Brayshaw instead? Quick, you can be the first

I'm tempted. Never been sold on Brayshaw. Leadership, work ethic etc, any player can have that. Elite skills and pace though, that's rare. Geelong took a risk and it looks like coming off. Really not sure how GWS missed him with 3 picks later than us though.

You are a T.w.a.t CB.

Not once did i mention or even give a hint of thought about bagging Petrac/Brayshaw. I am absolutely stoked with these two.

As a football fan i love watching new talent coming through as i take a great interest in the development side of things as i have a part time role with Murray Bushrangers under 16s this year.

So my apologies to you for pciking out a gun who impressed me tonight.

I felt like the media initially was in our camp, they felt like Mitch owed us and we got done. I think that part of the story is over for them, in fact if anything they will probably kinda rub it in to us how well he's doing. Certainly for them the story will now be him managing to beat his affliction.

I've never truly hated any player that's left Melbourne. I was gutted by the Wiz leaving, I was annoyed (but actually understanding) about $cully going to GWS, but Mitch really does burn. I would have the biggest smile on my face if he failed at Geelong, unfortunately because I want it so much it'll probably go the totally opposite way.

Well yes the jury is still out on these picks, i.e. Petracca and Brayshaw. I am very hopeful but we need to see them playing seniors. And we have already lost Petracca for a year to a knee. So our review is delayed a year.

It's the whole deal Pate, from when he started his photography to when he miraculously recovered in time for the draft selection, we the financial members of the club have been fed a whole lot of brown stuff by both the Club & Clark

I am just really tired of it...This competition is being so badly run now...Success depends on what piece of land you occupy in the eyes of the AFL now

Geelong get a home practice game...why don't all clubs get a home practice game?

The rubbish just keeps adding up...

A tweet from Rory Taggert that was retweeted by James Harmes.

Fair to say I no longer rate Harmes.

Scenario. Apologies. I've been drinking- Maybe living up to the dub in my name

Cloke retires from Collingwood due to depression. Few months later signs with the Hawks. I'm assuming this gets the same reaction as Clark is getting??

Stef Martin had another good game?

Damn.

Dominated the ruck in helping demolish Sydney. What a killer combination if we had both Stef and Mitch still playing with us. Their combined fireworks would be awesome. Edited by america de cali

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
