Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Mitch at the Cats

Still Waiting

Recommended Posts

I see an article on the 9 news re MC and his new home down Kardinia Park way. Hope he can get fit and cope with the pressure down there because it will be absolutely relentless. If he is in any way crook physically or mentally he will fizz. I am led to believe he has yet to join in most general training and has a long way to go. I thought he was "In a good place " when taken by the [censored] and had turned his mind into a positive train of thinking, as well. Ah well, the Cats can have him, we only want players who are committed to our cause and not just gravy train boarders. Sad really. But then again, those who fiddle with the truth will eventually......................well, you all know!

Mitch Clark is a hell of a footballer. It is possible the Cats will get a good year out of him at some stage - it is unlikely Clark will back that up.

A quick glance through Clark's football record says that he has a hard time staying on the park. The extent that is even physical is questionable.
IMO Mitch Clark always needs attention, no matter what. It wouldn't surprise me if Clark could be on the park much more than he has been.

It's going to be an interesting 3-4 years in evaluating the Clark trade. Geelong has gone in with high risk, high reward in Clark, who at is best is clearly the best player in the deal, and someone who if fit for long enough could help keep Geelong in premiership contention. Melbourne has taken the most proven, durable and consistent player in the deal, in a position and playing style the side desperately needs. We aren't in position to take too many punts on players and it's a definite upgrade over our other running backmen, even if he does spend time in the middle. And Collingwood has furthered its 2015 stealth tanking mode with the acquisition of a genuine dud. Wins all round.

Why is there a thread on this dog, he is lower than the dirt on Tom scullys boots

Now that's very harsh wattsup, a dog has way more loyalty than that snake (MC).

It's all a little too convenient in the way it's turned out for Mitch.

Stealth tanking mode....I like it and will pass that on to mates who support the filth.

Now the next great white hope for Collingwood, Darcy Moore, is off the tracks for 3 months.

Collingwood might just really struggle next year. Their list is a mix of very old and very young, with not much talent in-between. And continuing tensions between players and coach are never conducive to a successful team environment.

But anyway, I'd rather talk about the filth than this filthy bastard, whom I'll happily never see in our proud colours again. He's shown him low character for the whole footy world to see; Geelong can have him. Hope he never plays another game.

3 weeks not months.

Personally I think Collingwood have some up and coming young talent. But very injury.prone.

There is a reason why this place went into melt down when the rumour surfaced about him moving clubs. He is a bloody good player when fit, he will rip it up at the cats. The only thing that will stop him is injuries.

They are the clear winners in that trade. At least we got some very good compensation for him rather than nothing.

Him leaving the club for medical reasons still doesnt sit right with me. I think there is a lot more to the story than we are being told.

My bad, only skimmed the article. Shouldn't set him back too far then, but Filth supporters will be expecting him to kick 3 goals a game from round one.

They have a heap of good young talent in waiting. They will really be back in force in a few years if they play their cards well. Next year though? They have lost Beams. If Swan continues his downwards form trend then it leaves a lot to Pendlebry.

If Pendelbry gets an injured, it means that Sidebottom or someone similar will cop the close tag. They will fall apart. Cant remember Pendlebry getting injured very often though.

According to Chris Scott on Nine News tonight: "All the indications are that round one's a pretty good target for Mitch"

Wouldn't round one be a "pretty good target" for every player in every team in the AFL, injury history or not? Sounds like an empty, vague quote from Scott (hardly unexpected).

Let them keep building up the pressure cooker on Clark; he's shown he can't handle it when push comes to shove.

We have Lumumba. A reliable, solid bodied premiership backman.

As much as I liked Mitch's best football, there wasn't much of it. We have done well from this debacle.

I couldnt handle the stress when MC played for us. Every pack mark he went for he would take out every player And KO him self.

I hope he plays like that and injures him self and Hawkins.

I still follow the guy on Twitter, his pro-Geelong tweets are so phony. Did the exact same thing when he came to us. He sucked me in then, he's not going to suck me in now.

Anyway, Lumumba is ours now, more than fair compensation. We can move forward from the whole debacle. But I still hope his career at Geelong is a failure.

His instagram is just as worse. Pretends that he is emotionally attached to the club then goes and

does the dirty.

    TRAINING: Monday 29th April 2024

Demonland Trackwatcher Kev Martin was on hand at Gosch's Paddock for Monday's training session and made the following observations. About 38 to 40  players down at training.  BBB walking laps.  Charlie Spargo still in rehab, doing short run throughs.  Christian Salem has full kit on and doing individual work with a trainer. He is is starting to get into some sprints. I cannot see Andy Moniz-Wakefield out there. Jack Viney and Kade Chandler have broken away from the

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.
