In my defence, I found it hilarious. But who doesn't love their own material.

I'm sorry I've upset you. Point is, we all shouldn't get too sucked in by what players say publicly and try to over analyse it.

Who says if he comes to us that we aren't up there in 4 odd years time? A bloke named Paul Roos is a good operator. Who thought Angus Monfries would be playing in a prelim this year.

Don't worry. Deep down BBO is a loving bloke. This is his way of showing affection to you.

No I didn't misunderstand your cheap shot at my post at all. I posted on the basis of an interview I actually heard on the radio. Your unfunny and invented reductio ad adsurdum piece of sarcasm drew a question from me that you are unable to answer. In future, if you cant put up then shut up.

Have had far too many wines to really take that in. Will be off the library in the morning! After my cheese and tomato on toast of course!

The positive whispers were from my wife about the breakfast I cooked... LOL.

I was told we are going hard is all. But considering PJ went hard enough to get Roos I think that sounds positive. But danger is only one of many.

Anyone else mentioned Dylan Shiel?

i must admit this trade period Im hearing far less than i was this time last year. Roos has obviously commanded a very tight ship.

Yes, NSC I did mention that this morning. We are going hard at both he and Danger. Even if one comes off it would be positive

Personally now that danger is in doubt I think id be more satisfied with Shiel or Treloar in terms of age bracket.

a) Why do they want to leave?

b) What do we give them? Is pick 2 and 3 too much? It will have to be a better deal than the one landed us Tyson because they are proven quality players.

I went to a post grand final function late last night and I ran into a friend who's gone into player management. I don't know if he specifically works with Dangers management group, but he gave me 100% guarantee he wasn't coming to us. We made contact, he spoke to us but we weren't the right fit for him. Take it as you will. I hope for Melbournes sake GNF is on the money, but I've had a few good bits from this bloke in the past.

This absolutely stacks up to me.

It is also not inconsistent with what GNF has stated to date.

I think we will miss out on Danger but i'm confident the club will come through with the goods again just like last year, hopefully even better this time.

I am now convinced that he is not joining our team next year, people that say they are happy with this are full of it. Would have been even better than getting Roos but as usual we get it shafted.

Not getting a player who was never really coming to us other than in our own heads is not getting shafted. We're not worse off than we were before, it just seems that way as the prospect seemed so exciting.

Don't get me wrong, I was hopeful and I'm a little bit disappointed too, but you've just got to be really careful getting your hopes up really high on so-so information. I think that's what a few people have done.

Getting Roos is the best thing that's happened to this club during my lifetime.

Would be massive to land Dangerfield, but sorry - it's not even on the same page as getting Paul Roos to this club.

Maybe Roos equal with Jimmy coming on board as an administrator. Without Jimmy I'm not sure there would be a Club for Roos to coach

    GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Brisbane

It's Game Day and the Dees are deep in the heart of enemy territory as they take on the Lions in Brisbane under the Friday Night Lights at the Gabba. Will the Demon finally be awakened and the season get back on track or will they meekly be sacrificed like lambs to the slaughter?

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

The Demons almost blew a six goal lead and ultimately hung on to win by three points over the North Melbourne Kangaroos at the MCG and have temporarily jumped back into the Top 8.

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.
