Would the club (Misson) appreciate you confirming that certain players won't be playing?

While I appreciate it is selection day, there's nothing to say Pedo wouldn't be named with no intention of him playing, just to "attempt" to throw the opposition off a bit.

I realise it's Hawthorn and they wouldn't GAF who we named and who actually played, but don't think it's your best work Saty.

Also, I wonder if those training in the Casey team are going to be dropped, or more to give them a better match up (ie Riley might've tagged Jones, which would be better than tagging Nicholson). Make sense?

Nah, I asked Misso a couple of straight question Me: "where's Pedo?" DM "he is having an operation on his nose today" Me "so he won't be playing on Saturday"" DM "nope"

Nah, Riley, Blease, McKenzie, weren't in the 'team talk' at the end of the end to end session

He did everything, if that is what you mean, the whole session, so kicking, tackling, ground ball, end to end, he was moving really well, even had Salem firing kicks at head height from about 5 metres away at one point to get his reflexes up, ended up the session by competing with TomMcDonald on catching ridiculous bombs put as high as possible but only standing about 10 metres apart, Tommy Mc misjudged one in the rain, hence the decapitation mentioned above. Roos watched this 'training' and was very amused, probably more by Hogan looking ready to go

That is awesome, sounds like a competitive beast!!

Thanks Saty, I forgot you had secret codes with Misso, Roosy and co about what can be published on Demonland and what couldn't be.

I think the days of Dave Dunbar hanging in a tree pretending to be a Koala are long gone, each club has contingency plans for the unexpected, Hawthorn probably know who we are going to put on the park before we on here do, Misso knows I post on here, so obviously he doesn't have an issue, you seem to be the only one that does

Thanks Saty. I wish we had some gee whiz filter that selectively ignored. Annoying to have to click view any way on your training reports.By the by i happened to have the chance of speaking to Nev after the demons game and complimented him on his game. As you have said he is very focused on playing his role and doing his job - he knew exactly how many kicks his opponent, Green, had.

I asked about the hit he got from Merret and said i was amazed he didn't get 50 as he clunked the mark. He was also amazed but didn't know that it had been paid a free kick (shocking decision btw that cost us a shot on goal). Said that he was pretty sore - how was he at training?

Unbelievable that Pedersen has to miss a few weeks and have Surgery but Merrett gets off free!

Disgusting MRP!!

How many millions of times have I told you not to exagerate!!

Nev was fine at training, he is straight down the middle, there is no grey with him, I have mentioned previously that if he gets whacked wears it as a badge of honour as it means he is doing his job, just happy he is fit and firing and playing the role he loves, enjoyed the training, he reckons when it's wet brings everybody back to his level of speed, reckon first three names on teamsheet in the last couple of weeks have been Jetta, Dunn, Bail not the most skilled trio but consistent and who play exactly the role Roos wants

Contrary to that Saty I think Dunn and Jetta are among the best in the team.

Both can hit targets by hand and foot over most distances.

This does not surprise me at all. It is why calls for Bail to be dropped or god forbid traded are ridiculous. Runs hard both ways, presents, always puts in and above all plays his role/does his job. I

Tyson noted in his interview that Roos had reemphasised the need to play the assigned role in the review of this weeks appalling game so one can only assume he is pretty annoyed players have not been doing so.

By the by i wondered why Roos didn't put Nev onto Bewick - he killed us. I don't think he had his best coaching game.

Actually when you speak to both of them, you will find they do that because in their opinion 'they play safe" ie they don't try things that are above their ability, I don't know whether Bail ran over your cat OD, but he is not as bad as you think, his % efficiency is quite consistent, and quite good (put that in another post)

Is it just a coincidence that our form has been down at the same time as Satyr's training reports appeared to have dried up?

I actually thought our form has been crap since Jordie Mckenzie has been back in the team.

Fortunately for the cat no Saty.

I don't think you will be surprised to know I think he is average on his good days.

Coz Green was a small forward who was in really good form, that's why Roos would love another 1 or 2 of Nev, that is why I thanked Jade Rawlings for persuading the club to keep Nev on, coz he knew as well if he could get a clear run at it, Roos would have one of his perfect role players, as I said this week should be a highlight, Puopolo v Jetta

On the other hand, maybe Misson is using Saty to bluff Hawthorn....

Why can't we put in a medical report like everyone seems to do against us!

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
