They went lower at the contest, they ran harder and faster both ways and executed skills better. The only positives were Vince's form and that last year that would have been an 80+ point loss. Now 40 point losses are annoying rather than an acceptance of an ok performance.

Dermie called him out for staging on the Ego & Derm's Big Wenk in Footy, without actually using the 's' word. Nonetheless, made it perfectly obvious what he thought of Lindsay's endeavours with the laughable "push ups". Because yeah, that totally happens when you get grazed in the chin, you suddenly lose all feeling in your back.

Good to see it get noticed...But what's with Dermies shirt, sheesh.

God I hate losing to North. Especially when three of my most hated players in the league (Harvey, Lindsay Thomas and Thompson) wear that putrid jumper.

They played reasonably well, we played rubbish and they just outworked us.

Positive - aside from that 6 goal burst in the third we matched it with them.

They're an overrated outfit though with people talking of top four. They have a very working class list with their only outstanding 'gun' players for me being Harvey, Petrie and occasionally Swallow. Bland otherwise.

40 points flattered us immensely. North were crap today. We were deplorable. Missing targets all game, many from 10-15 metres away. Handballing to players who are immediately under pressure. Laziness through the middle. Hesitation in the forward half. Just a dreadful performance.

Bernie, Jones and Cross can be very happy with their output.

My fear is that there are a couple who have managed to become sacred names, and they are plainly not up to this level.

Lazy effort today. Stop start. No running up the field. Kicking to position was atrocious with players continually sitting under the ball waiting to get smashed by some nobody Roos player.

Howe had his worst game for a long time. Either went up as a third man and took out two of his team mates or hit it to a Roos player.

Dean Kent hardly sighted. Viney did nothing. Salem looked tired. Pedo didn't seem to do anything and was surprised how many stats he had.

Bail was very ordinary. Jetta has his colours lowered. Jamare was smashed. Tyson was ineffective.

NJones tried hard but has to stop calling for the ball when he is in a bad position. Too many times today he ran behind a player looking for a cheap h/ball and he got pounced on.

Bernie was stellar.

Our kick ins were unbelievably repetitive. We would huddle. The Roos would zone. Dunn would chip to himself, run to the right side and shoot a low bullet to a 2 on 1.

Really disappointing day. They are a cra p football club with cra p supporters.

They are a class above.

Really showed what we lack today a big number one forward, and quick outside runners.

They made us look pretty slow.

The amount of times they were able to win the ball and get in on the outside and away was almost as sickening as our unforced turnovers.

As great as last weeks win was, it may have lured us into thinking we were going better than we were.

IMO we have had a pretty poor 3 weeks in a row now.

Think it's time to give Michie and Blease a go. Salem isn't ready, McKenzie will be rubbed out and Bail is going backwards. Kent had a shocker but needs to be given more time.

Yep to all two proposals Blease must be given last chance to show wares and Michie to add grunt in midfield!

Yep, all sensible posts.

Still missing a key forward....Jesse Hogan, cometh the hour.

JKH needs to play every week - he is a DNA crumber.

They ran harder and spread quicker....Scott knew that Roos would try and lock the game down, thus instructing a few players not to scramble. They got a lot of easy 'outs' from stoppages.

I'm still unsure of Jordie McK's role in the team.....he still handballs to players who are under extreme pressure.

Roll on next week.

Last week everyone wanted Christian to play full games for the rest of the year. This week everyone wants him in the VFL for the rest of the year. Some serious knee jerk reactions methinks. It was a bad day for all (except Bernie and a couple of his mates). Dropping Salem and Kent will bugger up their confidence just like it has for Toumpas and JKH. They go back to a sad and sorry Casey and will not shine. Leave them alone and bring back the other two and put games under the belt. They are the future, teach them with the Senior leaders to lead them and guide them. Nothing good will come out of going back to Casey.

Pretty much agree with that, I don't like the way Tyson is so inconsistent, I know he's pretty young but he was ordinary today. Salem isn't really ready for the big time yet he needs to get more of the ball and get involved more often in the game.

Jones has to learn it's not all about Jones, that's all I'll say.

Our forwards, if you can say we had any, just waited for the ball to be bombed in there and didn't bother to offer a lead the players up field did exactly that, bombed it in without looking to see if we had a player in the contest.

The movement of the ball was the worst I've seen for a long time and Norf just pressured us in to poor decision making and when we tried to do the same they just brushed us aside.

Make no mistake, Norf are not a great side, but they are very well drilled, much more cohesive than we are at the moment.

Rtg, I think that's a problem for us. They go back there and they are expected learn in an environment that's not conducive to learning. I accept and respect your opinion though.

We were simply dreadful and had 18 or so players who just outright lost their match ups.

I would be a lot more calm and balanced if the loss wasn't to mother f'ing Norf, the biggest bunch of sooks, thugs and wankers to don a footy jumper.

God I hate North!

I'm loathe to make any excuses for Thomas but after he was clipped by Jordie and went to ground Nev Jetta was off balance and dropped a knee into his lower back. I think that's why he was doing the back arches.

Hope it hurt.

Anyone think that "clip" by Jordie might attract some scrutiny from the MRP?

When Viney and Tyson have quiet days, we just dont have enough quality mids to go with the good sides.

I'd take the suspension to see any of our players smash him next time. And Harvey. Vomit!

I'd have no problem with JKH coming back but I just don't think Salem has the tank to run out a game or particularly against hard running opposition.

Jack Viney looked very tired today and we have to understand that he's very young as is Salem and Tyson.

Giving them games for the sake of it is something that Roos said he didn't want to do, they mustn't have a sense of entitlement.

Too small, too slow, execution pitiful, particularly from the leaders ,which beyond disappointing and totally unacceptable. Frawley playing ( I don't want too get hurt now, football).I wonder why? Surely he must be challenged on this. Very poor message sent to the playing group I thought.

Totally embarrassing bruise free effort from him and numerous other senior players who did not risk their bodies and were not prepared to die for the cause. Wonderful effort from Bernie Vince who was the leader today bled for the joint and was prepared to cop plenty. Dawes attempted to impose himself, Jamar tried but he's a lumberer.

Was a limp, bad day at the office, the kids are excused but I reckon a few marked their own cards today in terms of having sufficient ability to play finals football including some at the top.

Some of the turnover errors from blokes who are required to do better sheesh!!!

Still haven't cooled off on the drive home.

Message to recruiting staff , make em big, make em fast and they have to be able to play football. We have too many slow midgets.

Need classier younger midfielders going forward.

Need skillful defenders who can execute out of the defensive 50.

Need a better, agile, tap ruckman.

Need another foil for Dawes.

Need more damaging small forwards.

List has a long, long way to go. Onwards and upwards under Roosy.

An extra small forward or 2 would be great. ie a Luke Bruest for example (excuse spelling, I guessed it)
