At the 3/4 time break the physio & doctor? were working on him the whole time, checking him with a stethoscope etc. so that's no surprise

If this is true, it's a shame for a young player who from all reports was progressing well at Casey.

Luckily, a punctured lung can be a pretty straight forward issue and he should be back playing soon.

I think i'll bring one to the G next home game ...getting too freaky for me.

Being the Melbourne "Demons", surely we must have a few practicing wiccans out there. Come on guys, get a circle going and cast a protection spell or something!

I've had a punctured lung before. Nothing too serious, though there's varying levels of "punctured". Mine fixed itself and the doctors weren't at any stage particularly concerned. I kept asking if I needed medication and was assured it heals itself.

that sucks. but i think its often a fast healing injury if its not too bad.

Shame, he played well last week!

Missen is exercising this club - but we actually need someone else to exorcise us!

We seriously cannot take a trick injury-wise.

Yes....usually straightforward but remember Ricky Petterd who had a rare one that was immediately life threatening and only salvaged by timely medical intervention.

Hoping for a full and rapid recovery.

Petterd's problem was a cyst that allowed air into the chest cavity and not back into the lung. This is markedly different to Harmes' issue which would be as a result of a collision.

What sort of impact caused it, if you don't mind me asking Lamashtu?

I remember Petterd was in a pretty serious state when he punctured a lung a few years ago.

I'll get my mum and her friends on the job right away.

All the best Harmesy, hope you get back to full health quickly and get out on the field playing again soon

I think Ricky had a burst cyst in the lung that wasn't allowing air to exhale, it was life threatening at the time. The doctor had to actually puncture his lung with a needle to let air out. A different situation I think.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
