[censored] me this is terrible I'm glad I haven't renewed my membership

Too many young players wr never made to earn their spot in the team...

Look at the big clubs like Haw, Sydney , Geelong all their players would have played 20-40 games in the vfl...

Theres a simple thing to understand, and when you come to terms with it it all just melts away into insignificance.

that being:

Its not a case of some of our list being NQR,

its that about half of it is NFG , not at AFL level

once you realise this and accept it it all just makes sense

We are bereft of a forward line, our skills are deplorable and confidence is rock bottom .

What worries even more is my lack of getting filthy with it all anymore, it's just so bloody normal these days!

1 goal at halftime on the MCG in the first home game of the season

Embarrassing, just like every other season

7 goals in 6 quarters of football or our 7.18 60 isn't enough to have won last weeks game yet

Would renewing your membership makes this loss worse for you?

Grimes and Trengove no where near afl standard. Can't kick, can't run, no strength, pace or mongrel.

this is the biggest worry that 2 players we thought were the basis of our future not even looking close to AFL standard

It has got nothing to do with development, you cannot develop spuds.

When Roos sees his contract out, hopefully this Quality Vs Development debate will be put to rest.

lol... Im sure most of our players are actually not as bad as they look.... When you butcher the list by chopping off all the experience, and replace them with kids... Who are the kids going to learn from? How can we expect anyone to develop under those conditions? The passed couple of administrations have killed this once great club... The damage done in the original(2007-8-9) rebuild is still affecting us... Back then, we didn't have the best senior players.. But they were senior players, they knew the game and we chopped them all? Farout

The other baffling thing is the fact when we actually do passages of play well the guys further up the field undo the good work and stuff it right up.

Id give anything to see us be great again....Im so sick of this rubbish they serve up to us members..

It is the mental make up on our draftees. Jack Viney is one, Ollie Wines is another, these kids have that inner drive - and they don't expect anyone else to do anything for them.

Some of our players might be ok in better sides, because less is expected of them.

These rare breed of players, Selwood, Sloane, Rockliff, Wines, Martin, Viney, they aren't exactly hard to identify, it is not rocket science.

We have picked mummys boys like Gysberts, Cooks, Morton, those were quality picks and we are now paying a BIG price.

Is Watts lazy today or injured? Training reports on here had him with a bit of a sore leg. In a way I hope he is sore because if he ain't he is plain lazy.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round.
