Readig the MFC article it indicates that Clark will be available in 4 wks and Garland in 4-6 wks, so Clark in time for round 1 and Garland there abouts.

So gullible .

So is the MFC article before or after Clark's supposed hammy today?

I've got nothing to go on but Clark's situation makes you think of potential super players who were just effed over by injury. eg Royce Hart , Ox, Danniher - you can add to the list

I would be happy if we got as much out of Clark as Richmond did with Hart.

A couple of flags would be good then he could break down forever.

Safe to say that the signs are not looking good for Mitch if he has done another hammy today.

He just can't seem to get a clear run at it. No wonder the club is taking baby steps in his rehab.

Has it been confirmed by the club yet? (Or is it the usual he is progressing well and is 4-6 wks away)

You are a ruthless man OD!

Desperate Bbo

I need a MFC that is competitive and threatening the top four before I shuffle off and time is running out.

When Clark first did his foot, Matthew Richardson, who had a similar lisfranc injury, said that he "did heaps of hammies" coming back from his own injury. It appears that Clark may be experiencing similar problems.

Imaging what that does to Richo's legs in terms of movement and agility long term.

There are some seriously damaged ppl on here. I dont know how u lot will cope if our players are fit and we start winning.

Don't see it as a problem.

Cannot wait

Mitch Clark played some sensational football for the Dees and I hope he gets back fully fit. But I see Dawes and Hogan as shining light if he does not. All is not lost

Mitch Clark is over halfway through his contract.

He has played 15 games.

You arent nearly as much Bitter as you are optimistic.

There's another light training session tomorrow, no? Surely we'll know by then if this is true.

As mentioned above I think it's just a misinterpretation of that article. This "new" injury is just referring to the one from a month ago. Anything on Clark's twitter?

My mail is that Clark did his hammy about a week or so ago and that it's the third time since just before Xmas. As alluded to above its a by product of recovering from a long period of passivity similar to what Matty Richardson went through when he was coming back from the same injury. It's a bit of a worry but the good news is that it can be overcome and also that it's not the old foot injury that is the ailment.

Richo got back and played some pretty good footy after his injuries, all is not lost.

I realise patience is wearing thin but this is what is required and hopefully we are rewarded with a solid 14-15 games this season, leading into more the next season.

How do you re do your hamstring when supposedly only doing slow laps?

Posted

It's a hamstring, everyone needs to calm the hell down.

His foot is fine, but when you go from zero activity to trying to be athletically competitive again, you will get injured along the way.

I'd rather they manage him carefully and we see him fully fit in Round 8 and for the next 6 years.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
