Our whole list is full of average players, barring a handful.

Hopefully, under Roos' guidance and direction, the "is" will become a "was".

I don't think I've seen a bigger turnaround in a player at Melbourne in my time.

His highlights when we recruited him looked good and some of us got excited but several soft, lazy and dumb moments on top of the fact that he didn't look fit made his recruitment look one of the worst in recent memory.

Fast forward to 2014 and even in the first NAB Challenge match Dermott Brereton was calling out just how hard Pedersen was working. He now runs all day, puts his body on the line and is a player I actually now trust with ball in hand.

Well done and keep it up, Cam.

Agree with all bar the decision-making and trust with ball in hand.

Tries to do too much sometimes and I've identified a counterproductive selfish streak.

But chalk it up as another Roos player conversion miracle.

Chalk it up as that for people who had no idea of the player Pedersen was prior to coming here and for those ignorant enough to think he was nothing but a spud prior to 2014.

Special people. Chalk boards. Perfect analogy Machsy.

That handball to Wonderboy was selfish wasn't it??

Fortunately we had you here to keep us all informed, eh? Only I don't remember you informing us.

These are the little wins that we need to get, as well as swapping Sylvia for Vince, Daniel Cross, turning up JKH at 40 etc.

That's what the good clubs do, their list changes are nett improvements.

Pedersen is becoming a very important player.

hes doing a lot of courageous acts

Going back with the flight and putting his body on the line

Hard to believe this is the same guy that heard footsteps in round 1 2013 vs Port

Well done Pedo

It's amazing what belief and encouragement from the coaching staff can do to the playing group. Pedersen is a prime example of this. Always had the ability but, like many, was well down on confidence and it showed on the field all too often. He has been terrific this year as he is running hard, has a great pair of hands and is a good kick for his size.

I have to eat some humble pie because of Pedo. He seems to be one of those players who is getting everything out of his ability. He runs bloody hard and competes all over the ground. He plays as if he knew his career was on the line. Good on him. Shows how much i know about footy.

Pedo is getting rewards for his hard work now and he is HOLDING Marks.

Confidence is the key. Since the 9thmond game in the NAB CUP Pedo has done his job. And that job is improving.

Only bad thing on Pedo right now.

FFS get him off and get Jamar in the ruck for the last few minutes of quarters particularly when we are playing ultra defensive. Happened in most quarters that Jamar was on the bench and Pedo in the ruck at the worst possible time.

That handball to Viney in Q2 resulting in a goal was Handball of the year.

His work rate is immense, and his kicking to space is a delight to watch. And his courage jumping into packs and splitting them in half is both surprising and effective. At times he is taking some ripper marks. I was one of the "thanks for being an emergency on our list but please don't play again" people who is now eating humble pie.

I reckon opposition teams are surprised with how often he gets out on his own through the middle of the ground. But this oversight will not last much longer. Opposition teams will notice him soon, especially those that start planning how to beat us rather than expecting to, like Carlton and Adelaide.

Keep it up, Cam.

I can only imagine we ran out of interchanges, which if so was a potentially costly mistake.

Cam's doing a good job in his role, and as many have said on here, Roos is all about role players in a team.

He's not absolutely 100% selfish at all times.

But I've noticed him make selfish decisions.

Don't take it to heart.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
