I think he is referring to his 16 year old self being a small forward and being drafted to the Dees is his dream...

You might be right there 'rpfc', I thought it was a bit strange dreaming of Nahas playing for the dees. Sorry 'deeman', that's a good dream to have but make sure you can play in the midfield then drift forward to kick a few.

Not a criticism of Kent, more of the scenario he was placed in. I went back and checked and in the club's post draft summary he was presented as an inside mid with speed. He played pre season as a mid/wing and Casey as a Wing resting HFF.

He gets elevated to the 1's to play FP.. Its not his fault we literally had noone to play, but it was clear it wasn't his position. I'd be very surprised if you saw him lining up as a full time FP under Roos this year.

I truly believe it's the one position on the ground you cannot teach. The resting midfielder who goes forward never plays as a crumbing forward, always a floating type.. Swan goes forward often marks it but you'd rarely see him at the feet of Cloke.

I know I'm rambling now, but my point is I respect Kent for having a crack last year, but they're asking him IMO to play one of the most specialist positions on the ground with no idea how to do it.

Kent's far more potential to be a better player than Nahas, but Round 1 sadly I'd much prefer the Lebanese Prince.

Agreed - forward pocket isn't just a position for rotating midfielders. I think it would be worth looking into getting a true forward pocket - small, agile quick, defensive and very clean.

A decent small forward would be easier to acquire than a mid. I don't think its the most important of position to fill just yet. We could try getting one with a late pick in this draft or in next years draft or next years trade period.

As said I don't see Kent as a forward pocket long term - probably a mid/wingman maybe a high forward.

Jetta and Byrnes fill the position for now.

Small forwards aren't that hard to come by so I wouldn't get Nahas if he has a question mark over his head.

Somebody was suggesting on the Rumour Mill that we have already signed Nahas but have not announced him yet, much like the Cross situation.

Kent's different to Nahas....why the comparison?

Kent will develop into a huge clearance machine, Nahas is a stay at home small forward.

Davey and The Wiz were the last two to fulfil this role well...

Liam Jurrah and Austin Wonaeamirri went all right...until they moved on with their lives.

Delisted FA, get it done.

The thing is I dont think he is actually delisted yet. I think thatll happen with first list lodgements on thursday. is probably why Cross hasnt been announced yet either.

Agreed but the Wiz often found himself a long way from home - never stopped him though just meant he had to run a little further (the length of the ground). Edited by Young Dee

What a load of garbage! If we sign this bloke I'll turn in my membership! So that is a no from me! Why not take the gamble on Garlett, another Jeff framer in the making, just slightly taller.

Not worthy of pick 9 and unlikely to be available at pick 40, how exactly would the "gamble on Garlett" happen?

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
