Salems TAC cup strike rate for BOG was better than any TAC player last year - and by some margin.

It read like his best games were better than others - and he could do it on a more consistent basis.

Throw in Salems blend of skills, precision, toughness and poise, we have a very unique and well rounded player.

As for Dom Tyson, wow. I got rid of him out my supercoach thinking he'd slow, I thought he couldn't possibly keep it up - but he has gone to another level.

YOU hate to jinx him but... I haven't seen a midfielder that looks this good in my lifetime. Stynes a ruckman and Flower a wingman don't count as midfielders. Viney snr and Tingay were guns and Woey had 1 brilliant year but I think DT has all the attributes to take it to the next level.

I noticed him a few times at pre-season training this year. He has a huge bum with a low centre of gravity so has that smooth low movement look about him. It is his kicking that is his strength and his weakness at present. This will become more consistent as he matures. But he has a huge engine, and rarely gets moved off the ball at a stoppage.

I agree with a few people above - I can't remember a Dees midfielder with his class in a long time. Tingay maybe, before he was injured.

He seems to have a great temperament for the game, he doesn't seem to get phased by heavy treatment and just gets on with the job. Great left foot over a distance and is getting better over the shorter distance.

Why have we always done better with trades than drafts? Powell, Beemer, Bizzell, Tyson, Dawes, Clark (before injury) and many others over the journey have always seemed pretty good. The one's I was sad to see go - Spalding, Thompson, Farmer (although we got plenty of service), Rivers etc has still been below par for what some other clubs lose. The Brownlow trades (Templeton/Moore) were 50/50 imo.

But overall so happy with Tyson.
