What's with the video of him on our site? Why are we now having some form of official connection with him?

It's odd but I like it, the more respected people connected to the club in some official manner the better I say, could this be Roosy's doing?

no idea, but i really liked the video of the Past players function http://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/2013-09-27/past-players-function

Interesting video. Some guys are easy to identify but scratching my head about most. After pausing on one shot I think I worked out one guy was Tingay and he looks like he could play tomorrow. Is it Wheater in brown standing with his arms folded?

I don't think it'd be at Roosy's behest.

But I do think Sheahan has decided it's time to have a more active role in helping the club he supports.

Same with many others over the last 12 months who aren't as visible, it would seem.

Sheahan was nowhere to be seen when Schwab and Connolly were around. Was one of the first to suggest Roos was a chance and then asked the questions that got Brock to public ally don us in for tanking and an investigation that saw McLardy, Schwab and Connolly.

end result Roos and all of a sudden even Denim has nothing but good things to say about us.

I suspect it's more Mike getting back on the bandwagon. I get the feeling he misses the lime light since he's stepped down from full time herald sun hence why he still does open mike, OTC and the top 50 and often tries to provoke headlines.

But even if he's jumping on it's still a positive sign.

He's a guy who for the last decade at least he placed his professional career ahead of his personal team support which is actually quite admirable. Mark Robinson could take note.

Oh, ok, then...

Not that it matters a great deal but he is an MFC supporter.

He would take pride in the fact you have no idea.

MS is a paid up member of the MFC and has been a supporter for many years! No disrespect please to the "iron mike"!

So is he our new poster boy now?

I like it - he has a bit of class about him.

Anyone know if he has a legit position now or is it just casual media stuff for his mate Roos?

Ted Carroll is still hanging around the Past Players as is Bryan Kenneally.

When I think of the free beers these guys must have drunk-oh the humanity.

I was coached by both of them.

Kenneally was a Champ backman from the 60s-probably dour and strong.

Carroll was a Collingwood reject who only played a handful for Melbourne but is the Past Players Pres I think.

They never taught me the art of sniffing out free beers-I learnt that for myself.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
