Let's hope we handled this one ok...

It's disappointing this was my initial reaction.

I have had a good time watching him play and I wish him all the best. He might want to move into coaching, I guess we will see.

Great Servant! His Electric rundown tackles were super! Great player for MFC!

Changed the way the game is played. Brought years of excitement in often difficult times for the club . Above all, always seemed to be a genuinely good guy, who took younger players under his wing. It's the right time for him to hang them up, and I wish him all the best.

Agree. Changed the way small forwards played with his speed and defensive pressure.

Would have played 200 if he did not come to the afl later than most.

Have great memories of how much excitement he brought to the dees. Hopefully will stay involved in some capacity as he plays a valuable mentoring role for younger players

His Run,Dummy and goal against Freo when we were making a comeback from 50 odd points down and his fresh air kick and goal against Brisbane will be memories i'll cherish from Flash.

thanks mate .

Thanks Flash, look forward to his kids playing, you would have to think if 2 brothers made it there kids would have a similar chance, all the best.

hopefully we didn't push him out the door like we have other veterans. only a few wks ago he was saying he was up for another year. hopefully we keep him in some sort of role at the club.

thanks for the great times Aaron

Thanks for some wonderful memories Flash! In your prime you were a genuine star and excitement machine who dragged us through the turnstiles in anticipation. All the best for the future and here is hoping at least one of the boys pulls in the Dees jumper in the future and has an even better career.

Has he played his last Game?

I would think so, perhaps he makes way for Taggert this week.

But this is the MFC we will probably replace him with Magner

I don't understand why this wasn't announced before Sunday so he could get a proper farewell game at the G. Weird.

Maybe he only just made the decision. Either way, I truly hope we didn't push him out the door in a disrespectful manner, he deserves better than that.

Changed the role of a small forward, brought electric pace and skills, and many enjoyable hours of entertainment on the field.

All the very best Aaron!

In fairness, 90% of blokes playing for MFC atm could be replaced by Magner.

I hope not. He played OK on Sunday and deserves to go again twice more if he so wishes.

I don't know why as supporters we are so keen to push our own out the door.

Plenty of injuries and players in crap form who can make way for Taggert this week.

Changed the role of the small forward in the AFL and is still in the top five best kicks in the league.

Thank you Aaron and all the best!

I agree. Not everyone's a gamer changer and Flash was/is

Be happy if hes given a role ( pt etc ) as a kicking coach. If ONLY some of our boys could kick like Aaron

Sad to see him retire.

Was up there as my favourite player in 2009/10. It'd be handy if his team mates could learn to kick half as well as he does.

I'd like to think he could be given a role at the club in the future, perhaps in the development academy etc

Great player and by far the best kick in the team Thanks for everything mate, you are and will remain a deadset champion of the club

Jaded that may very well be the case. He might have thought being out there that this was a lust hurrah. Sometimes in our lives we need to get to that point, that moment and then we just know.

Definitely going to miss Flash. Aaron was always that dangerous small forward crumbing and snapping goals or zigging and zagging through the midfield to only pin point a pass off his left boot.

Thanks for many years of service, though their is still a Davey left at the MFC who has a great winning record so far :)

Glad I caught up with Aaron 2 weeks ago then. Man of very few words, but always has that cheeky grin on his face.
