Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

Does the blonde bimbo work at a "recognised" law firm? I wouldn't think that any partner wherever she works would be very impressed by her latest foray.

I think I would be described as bald rather than blonde!

You may well be right but I also have a suspicion they just cant bring themselves to lower the guillotine on their shiny shiny lad...

Without doubt its a mighty call for this lot.

I was also thinking if the Asada findings may hold a key to the Bombers avoiding a payout and providing Essendon with a way of voiding Hirds contract

I think Hird has realized that he won't keep his job now - and wants to drag Demetriou down with him.

Essendon obviously realize that Demetriou helped them out, so they'd do best to just let it play out.

The AFL have already punished Essendon as a club, there is not much Asada will do them.

Asada are more interested in individuals and Hird will top their list - at least a life ban.

At this point in time we should be gracious enough to acknowledge the performance of the Essendon team against North Melbourne last night after the pasting their club's been receiving almost right across the football world. Whether or not you like what's been happening at their club, to do what they did against a well regarded opponent shows great character.

Did anyone notice the teeny blink and you'd miss article from Dean Baileys lawyer the other day. It said he was forced to take the punishment by the AFL even though the club had been cleared of tanking. Sound familiar Hirdy? Bailey copped it on the chin, and moved on. Never said a word. The Hirds could learn a bit from his humility.

The thing that really staggers me about this situation is most bombers supporters blind faith in him, and how they were used as scapegoats etc etc. I wonder if they would have reacted like this if Matthew Knights was still the coach? He would have been marched out in a second.

Article in the AGE about Dank's performance at Crown:

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/body-count-will-grow-says-dank-20140321-hvlcq.html

He likes making snide comments.

Has he ever given a meaningful reason why he won't talk to ASADA except in court? I would have thought if he has nothing to hide .....

Basically Dank thinks he has done nothing wrong because other people did it too and he feels victimised.

He has obviously broken the WADA code else he would just provide the information.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

BTW my source in the Essendon IT department says everything is backed up off site, weekly, monthly and annually. If the records were there they are still there.

Dyson Heppell stocks continue to rise. Watson is unstoppable and they get Chapman, we got Byrnes. Daniher will be scary.

Sorry WJ. Usually love your posts but I just can't abide being gracious toward Essendon. I didn't notice any graciousness from them when our backs were against the wall re 'tanking'. Also, can't forgive them for their thuggery in 2000 Grand Final. I won't bag the players but I just can't bring myself to have nice thoughts about them.

If it was so well documented and Essendon had all the details, you'd have to wonder what Ziggy was drinking when he wrote that review.

Ziggy was supposed to make it go away and it didnt.A paid employee doing a professional job. i think not

Go get some help.

Jack's post is right in the money. Given the schtick they're in, it's an impressive victory.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
