Bailey's Done His Hard Time

It mightn't mean much to Dean but in the end, he still has a career at AFL level and Cuddles and CS will never be employed in this industry ever again. I reckon we should have backed all employees (Cuddles included) better in the tanking farce but as far as the Schwab/Connolly vs Bailey imboglio goes, I am more pro Bailey than anti.

I often wonder CBF what would have happened if we had given Bailey some support at the press conference on that fateful day.

If Jimmy or DM had been there with him in front of MFC logo's etc would he have made the tanking comments.

Or if it had been CS instead of him would we be where we are today?

Poor Dean, I do feel for him. Comes across as a good bloke and seemingly did a pretty honorable thing by the club.

I hope he finds success in the near future.

He paid a heavy price for the incompetance of others. There is at least some restitution in that he's still got a worthy job in the game and the real culprits are thankfully gone for good. No one is going to hold his penalty against him.

welcome back Bails

We all know that loser Cameron Schnwab forced you to do what you did or you would lose your job

You are a good man, and i hope you realise that MFC supporters hold nothing against you

He was somewhat hung out to dry wasnt he.

Others get nice payouts, whilst the coach got paid out ON..

everyone was in this surely/

It was his press conference that raised the spectre. If he has kept his trap shut we wouldn't have had to deal with it.

If we had treated him with a little respect it may never have happened jnr.

The team bailey had going could really push the top sides. And to think under bailey we were far better developed then Richmond and now look where they are heading. Finals..

Besides 2 games against Collingwood we really did struggle against better sides. But at least when we were good against bad sides we were very good!

We were certainly ahead of Richmond but like some Richmond sides (under Frawley, for a year under Wallace even) the base of our team was built on a fraud.

We might be bad now but at least some of our players give their all week in week out in Frawley, Garland, Jones, Dawes, Grimes. Back in 2010/2011 when we were on for the day it was because Davey and Moloney were having good days in the midfield and Jurrah and Green were beating some C grade defender who was either too slow or too short for them.

Sure, don't disagree he was treated badly. But anyone with half a brain would realise you can't allude to tanking and think nothing will happen..

Why? Others did and got diddly squat. Ah, I forgot, they were just engaging in "list management".

Yes 2011 will probably be written up in training manuals as how not to run a football club.

We do hold some unique records.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
