The saints may end up in a similar position to us in the next couple of years - too many kids and not enough experience around the 26-27 age.

We didn't have Riewoldt and Jack Steven though.

They may end up doing it the right way. keep some basic maturity, that'll see them bottom 3 next year. pickup their 2nd season of draft harvest, & then add some more mature free agents with $$$$$$$.

Start their slow climb in 2015. End of 2015, grab some more kids on the slow climb up.

= Quick rebuild. but must have the kids on the slow burn development in the VFL, earning their games before call up.

Jesus, Lions absolutely raped with that, wtf are they doing?

Maybe Moloney has stamped his authority already after 12 months.

God bless him.

What was that thing he posted? Went something like "Karma is a bit ch"

Having said that, it was smart of them to identify the opportunity to get Longer on the cheap, if the eliminated their main opposition by giving them the ruckman they wanted.

Got good value for McEvoy too in the process, but lost years of development.

I think once the final ins and outs of the trade period are tallied Pelchen will be looking pretty good.

Dal Santo and McEvoy out - Savage, Longer and Bruce in.

It does depend on decent drafting but they've got 3 top 20 picks

Would we be interested in Andrejs Everitt from Sydney if Carlton Can't get a deal done or is he just a younger fitter Pederson?

He'd definitely add something to the side but I'm sure if Roos wanted him, we'd be chasing him already. Maybe we are planning to try and pick him up in the PSD?

Although I think Brown is going around for another year Django.

He is but hes not quite the fierce adversary he once was. Hes not going to have a lot of decent experienced mates now. he can mind the kindergarten for Leppa ^_^

It seems like as soon as every trade is done there's an image of that player posted straight away wearing his new teams jersey...

We had all our trades done basically a week ago, yet the best we've had is Dom Tyson in a polo shirt. (I'm not including fellow demonlanders attempts at photoshop)

What gives Melbourne fc....get some pics of our new players up on the website....

The drafting gremlins owe a few other clubs a Cale or two...

And maybe a Lucas Cook - arguably worse than Cale because we got literally nothing out of him.

It's an outrage. And here I am worrying about the midfield.

Or should they be filed out to the press in Casey jerseys?

Go and help them out instead of complaining then. We are a very low budget club, in case you've forgotten.

Maybe if you did your research you will find out Bernie Vince and Viv Michie are on holidays, Daniel Cross is not even a Melbourne player yet. Leaving Tyson who is in Melbourne.

Seriously Far more important things to worry about then Players not in their Polo tops.. FMD..

Not much help with GWS holding the pick before us. Cannot see why they wouldn't pick him up?

good points, we are really impatient. lets hope we can turn that energy into forward lift.

They've committed to picking up Jed Lamb with that pick I believe.

Delaney too, but I don't know much about him.

You might be right, but I still think there are a couple of years of pain ahead for the saints.

At the very least it looks unwise to load up on draft picks in a shallow draft, but you're right that they've brought in established talent at the same time.

Obviously you'd be even more concerned if you were a Lions supporter.

It's funny you say that, because if you actually study it, some of our digital media is up there with the best in the AFL.

I wouldn't expect you to recognise that, though.

Heard of photoshop? all the other clubs have...If you've got better things to worry about, how about focusing on them rather than replying negatively to my post.

I'm sure there's a lot of supporters who can't wait to see our new players in the red and blue...this is highlighted by the fact that most other teams use the opportunity as a marketing tool...who knows, it may create a little bit of excitement and encourage a few people to sign on as members...we all know we need more of them.

Agree...we are lucky to have bergs and generally high quality videos being posted...

but surely we have a photoshop expert amongst the ranks.

Well if your that desperate go photoshop yourself.. having a sulk over the club not photo shopping players in their rightful colours? Wowee I can see Roos bursting into Melbourne headquarters ranting and raving because our media team haven't photo shopped our new blokes.....

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
