  1. Those highlights weren't that impressive. Kicks seemed to float and didn't see much hard running to present an option.
  2. I know that he didn't have a massive impact tonight...but thought our forward mix looked much more mobile with Brown replacing Tmac. Led up to the wings to provide a target out of defence (much like Tmac does), but felt more composed with ball in hand. I hope they persist with Brown in the absence of Jackson.
  3. Gawn has been resting down back...he'll take him
  4. Maybe we haven't nominated him because we know there isn't mutch interest in him. If we had have nominated him, this allows another club to bid and force us to overpay. If the price is right he still may end up at the dees.
  5. Melbourne lost that one....Essendon didn't win it. Simply kicked our selves out of it
  6. Frawley played the majority of last year forward...If Frost is a direct replacement for Frawley, he'll be playing forward.
  7. The way you're going with those "guns" photos Saty, the next one will be Nick Reiwoldt/Zac Dawson esk....
  8. and enough riddles in general the last couple of weeks :S
  9. Its easy...we have the same team as last year although now we have Hogan instead of Frawley (who was nothing special as a forward). Our backline has had 12 months without Frawley being a key player and performed. Plus we have added a 100+ game 180 goal crumber which we didn't have last year and a 199 game former all australian half back who just finished 4th in Collingwoods b&f. We may have not improved the potential team that we may have been able to field at the start of last year. But we have definitely improved the team that we rolled out 90% of the time last year. If you want to sit back and continue to dream about the potential that we could have had, well i welcome you to do that. It's clear to me that we have done well out of the circumstances.
  10. Really??? Frawley played forward with little effect. Replaced in the side with Hogan. Terlich was running off half back. Replaced with Lamumba. We didn't even have a crumbing forward. Insert Garlett. Clark didn't play..hence no loss. How do we have a weaker squad?
  11. If we were able to do a Tyson like trade this year i'd be looking at doing something with the Suns. They have both pick 8 and 15, whereas GWS have 4, 21 & 24. I'd be looking at something like Jesse Lonergan (or insert promising young player here) and pick 8 for our pick 3.
  12. He may turn out great...but by now it should be common knowledge that you trade for ruckmen, not spend a high pick on them. Let someone else carry him for 5 years. There have been plenty of great ruckmen come from the rookie draft.
  13. Once we land Dangerfish, i hope we turn our attention to Jarryd Flathead...
  14. It is unfair....although its all swings and roundabouts. People need to remember we got Viney in similar circumstances.
  15. link to interview at the bottom of the link http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-10-03/delisted-demon-desperate-for-second-chance
  16. I made a couple of notes from the interview. Said he'd been training with an AIS running coach for the last couple of months, 4 times per week and feels as though he's making inroads with his endurance. He said that for the first 1/2 of the year that he and Roos didn't see eye to eye, but then backtracked a little and said he was a great coach. Also said that he isn't naturally defensive. So there you have it. The reason Sam isn't going to be on the MFC list this year is because......he cannot run out a game, listen to the coach or defend. Not too surprised about that really...but i do find it funny that its only the last couple of months that he's been doing extra running. Maybe the penny's dropped that his career is hanging by a thread.
