Im only a youngen, but I always consider this the demons logo. Maybe just modernized and some new artwork?

Pretty sure the start of the thread says this is just ideas so take your "ugh there is more important stuff to whinge about" to the "irrelevant whinging" thread. Oh wait...

I like the shield design of the current logo, but I think if we just removed a few elements from the logo it would look great.

In particular I would keep the trident (but move it to the centre where the football is) and get rid of the football and the southern cross.

I also would like to see the red return to an orthodox red (like the colour of the red on our jumpers). I hate the maroon-red colour that was introduced a few years ago which looks like the old Fitzroy red. That colour still lingers on current club merchandice - get rid of it.

You have my vote SJ

Our colours are red and blue not maroon

Much prefer an Eastern tiger snake wrapped around the priemership cup.

I like the current emblem, and there is plenty of direction within it as well as great recognition of where we've come from.

Which stands out best?

Ours is way too busy and the likes of Carltank and Giants are way too simple.

I like the Hawks one and Stkildas with the latin.

Actually, putting them together like that makes ours look good, for mine. FWIW I like it ...

Big fan of the suns logo, it's simple but not too simple and really reflects the gold coast imo

Like this a lot. Would love it if that was the new official emblem but maybe with "Melbourne Demons" in the ribbon on the front. Simple, strong, and says it all.

FWIW i like our Logo as it is, i do not mind the latest effort but as RPFC says we do represent 156 years....longer than all the other clubs...

Seeing all the other logos together just shows how tacky they have all become..

CS got a lot wrong...But i do like his emblem

To each his own, OD. Plenty of room for different opinions where I come from ...

I like the suggested emblem however I have always liked the " Est. 1858 " on the current one.

We are the oldest professional football club in the world, including soccer, we should advertise and be proud of that fact.

It's only an emblem but it can be a rallying point for a club and we need one everyone gets on board with.

That said there are way more important things the club needs to fix before moving onto this.

Congrats. You're the 100th person to say this. Your prize will be decided after we get to all the stuff that is way more important.

Agreed. There is some [censored] that can be removed but the sense of history that the date brings with it is crucial. The Richmond emblem (above) is simple but includes the date. I don't understand why Geelong, with an otherwise strong representation of their club does nor include the date.

I like the Saints for tradition and I like Norf's and the Doggies of the more recent designs. Ours is way too busy and lacks versatility across different application, eg, on the jumper or on letterhead.

PS. And GWS's is terrible.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
