K Sheedy at GWS

D Pagan at Scumland

M Blight at ST K

A Joyce at Bulldogs

R Walls cant remember

A Jesaulenko at St K

R Barrassi, One messiah success. Two failed.

T Jewell cant remember

J Kennedy at North

D Parkin at Fitzroy.

True Messiahs

M Malthouse, on the way to fail at scumland?

L Mathews.

D Parkin, had a failed stint at Fitzroy in between.

A Jeans.

We have have less than 30% chance of landing a true messiah. But thats better than what we have gotten for decades. A big challenge ahead.

Great summary adc

I think Jewell managed a couple of finals campaigns ( said shakily)

Fair point Old Dee. Having said that, both had the knack of separating themselves from their players performances. MM just gets paid more to do so atm

I am sure you appreciate the joke RtG

But I firmly believe MM will get better results from Carlton.

It took a while to get the price at the Pies.

I still have faith in him.

I did get it Old Dee. In truth I can't stomach Malthouses smugness more than any real logic.

We need to find a coach that works best with our list (and rebuild of) first and foremost. The coach with the best track record doesn't equate to getting and building the best of our list. IMO the 'premiership winning coach' mantra is a fallacy. If a coach is good enough to get a list playing regular prelims & GF's but hasn't tasted victory then he is as good as a coach who has won a GF. Surely other things come into it like, injuries, weather conditions on the big day etc. etc. Like big Arnie said on Pumping Iron. 'The wolf climbing the hill is always hungrier than the wolf on top of the hill'.

Williams/Eade/Ratten/Craig out of touch.

Young, contemporary team that are not long out of the game, with a gun assistant as our new coach.

Think about it.

Who says we need an 'experienced' (washed up) coach? If we get a gun name, big personality, the supporters will be back.

Is that you Mark Neeld?

Or be having an impromptu affair with an air hostess?

Or smuggling peptides into Melbourne for our 2014 season?

Yes I know the feeling.

The way he has carried on about the bombers affair is ridiculous.

Should stick to coaching and leave the deep and meaningful up to those who have ability to form a good argument

We have offered Roos $1.5 mill a year according to a Fox Report, which is why the Paddle Pops gave Voss the door.. It's still on kiddies...

How could Brisbane even come close to our offer without the AFL's backing and with a huge debt?

Has Roos stated anything about his motivation to coach and whether money is a big factor?

I had trouble opening the link...so i am not sure of all the details, if anyone else can open it great.

My money is still on PJ to pull this off

It's just like RDB going to Norf in 73...They were a shell

One thing is for certain in my mind.

Paul Roos will coach next year. Where that will be I have no idea but the fact that he will still take calls from both us and the Lions means he's obviously tossing up his options.

My money's on the Lions.

Imagine Brent Moloney's thoughts on karma if they announce Mark Neeld as Brisbane's new coach...

Is still think that if roos coaches it will be us. What better legacy than breaking two of the AFL's biggest droughts.

A senior Player at Melbourne said tonight that he heard that Roos had enrolled his kids at a Perth school.

Has Woosha signed a contract for 2014?

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
