Didn't GWS start favourites too?

As late as last night we were favorites at $1.82. That price was in todays papers.

That's not true.its a cop out of an excuse.

Thats right. This is a very winnable game. I want Neeld saying how we see it as very winnable and pumping us up. His comments recently have been rubbish. The post lions match interview was appalling.

Sportsbet have us $7.20 at 40 plus, get on!

I don't think it's gonna get shorter anytime soon. I'll wait (have a significant sum to recoup, naturally).

We will get rolled this week. We had 2 mids get injured, so we bring in 2 talls. Neeld is finished. See you later mate.

The odds are about right I think.

GCS have way better form than us and with our injuries at present they will have a lot better team on the field on Sunday.

I expect them to win by about 6 goals.

As for GWS, 2014 they will pass us.

The only up side I see for the Dees is 2nd draft pick this year and first in 2014.

I would think picks 1 and 2 or 3, depending if we are last and adding the priority pick that we will get. If we finish last or 2nd last that will be 8 years of crap. If that is not a PP, no club will ever get one again. Plus as I have said elsewhere I reckon we are now in bed with the AFL.

I agree Redleg we are.

It is probably the best spot for us as we are on our knees in a playing team sense.

It is going to take a mighty effort over the next three to four years to get us out of the bottom four.

IMO only the help of the AFL will achieve that.

The trouble is, I don't think we are.

But we have not had our full team on the paddock..... I want to see a forward line with Clark and Dawes in it! I want to see our coaching panel without Royal in it(he is a real mouth breather). A fully fit midfield that puts in like Jones for a whole game! AND removed the stick that is stuck up the arse of some of our backmen and pat them on the head with it to wake them up!.

Dreams, at this stage they may be Robbie..... But we all must have some dreams to aim for! My other dream is to be stuck on an island with the Victoria's Secret Models...

Gold Coast were terrible last week against a depleted Dockers outfit, now without their best performed tall this year in Dixon and an underdone Brown in the side.

Cannot see the cause for pessimism.

Dare I say say it.....my dark side says Gold Coast flogs us and we fast track Neelds departure.

So you don't want to win.....because of the coach.??????

Good grief...

Dare I say say it.....my dark side says we [censored] Gold Coast and we don't give Neeld credit because it's "just Gold Coast."

As much as Neeld goes on and on about our lack of exp, he does has a 100% win ratio against teams with less games ex than us, i suppose that's something?

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
