BBO, if ever someone questions me on the effects of being a lifelong Demons supporter, you're my Exhibit A.

Appreciate the responses. I understand that alternative options can be important, but I still see it as a shame if the considered views of Ology posters are not being shared on here also. United front and all that.

That's Ok, I'd borrow them from my partner. He's a generous bloke.

which partner would that be. i lost count.... doesn't matter... anyway i'm sure you'll look resplendent in a sheepskin coat and boots

Why not two?

Why not three?

Why not four?

The "big boys" (Carlton, Coll, etc) have multiple user forums. Whereas North, Dogs, etc, have to content themselves with ghettos on bigfooty.

We need to be one of the big clubs, in every way.

Are you making a veiled accusation of promiscuity DC.. If so, I will employ the Fink to take appropriate action. If not, I will pass the matter over to Biffen whose methods may be questionable. A financial settlement will be satisfactory.

Looks like a bunch of lunatics and losers to me. Wonder if I'd get in?

Us lunatics might take offense at that ... but then again, we are all Demons supporters ... :)

I share your interests R&B. Choral Music - Love the robes those Gregorian fockers wear. Lord of the Rings - Still pondering the true relationship between Sam and Frodo. Cycling - It's a [censored] getting a helmet on. And of course - the Dees.

I think everything mentioned above is about the continued existence, but the reason the two communities exist is because they both spawned from two very differing methods of online networking, back in the late 90s/early 00s and both sites were alive and vibrant by the time they both became forum based. Both are proud communities and there hasn't been any need in the past to merge the two sites.

Yeah, they were two sites that were based, predominantly, around the match reports of two different people - George on the Outer on Demonology, and Whispering Jack on Demonland. There were also the VFL reports of Barry from Beach Road on Demonland. They only got forums later on.

I used to post so much more on Ology than I do here; I'm happy to read some of the reports here and post a few of my own thoughts without having confrontation when I do.

Ology was a much better site when I first started posting there and hopefully it will get back to its former self now new posters can join, I'm happy here but I can see that here are some who prefer there.

I used to read it after I left there but very rarely even look at it now and when I do it has most f the same stories that are on here. This site doesn't have the same level of testosterone as Ology.

Don't gret this thread and sort of with you on this. Who cares how many forums we have and frankly it was lucky when Ology had problems Demonland was available for some of their people. Now ology is also embracinging folk from elsewhere. Nice co-operation it would seem to me. Is their some pissing competition going on here ?Whats the problem?

Both sites have existed successfully for over a decade - why bring the subject up now ?

Demonology only went down as a result of a significant illness suffered by the site owner so the cheap shots are a tad rude.

Just a few childish posters.

TGR on 'ology loves slagging this place off, some here return the favour.

After TGR, there was another prolific poster there that used to slag 'land and its posters off regularly.

After a few years of putting this place and its posters down, he doesn't post on 'ology anymore, restricting his posts to 'land.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
