Thought I would blow my own trumpet. This is what I posted on another thread this morning.

"Don't think Crows will cop the iron fist.

I predicted earlier that they would be fined the amount of the 3rd party payment $300k and I still stand by that. 2 years of first and second round picks was on the cards and they may do better as they handed in a 3rd rounder with their first rounder this year. They were late round picks as well.

Tippett will cop half a season and end up at Swans on the money he wanted and they will have him for free, a huge win."

Anyone want to know the tattslotto numbers for this weekend?

No, but if you can foresee our next premiership that would be a big help.

Sounds like you are on the money Redleg - fire those numbers away!

PS - pretty [censored] weak by the AFL

Hopefully it bodes well for the Dees and this bullshite 'tanking investigatoin'

i was watching the press conference and noticed that although it was purely about the Adelaide Crows and Tippett, CW tried to raise the tanking issue again!

Does she not have anything better to do with her time?

I would have at least made Adelaide pay for microphones for question time and that as it turns out would have been only 2

One for Caro and the other for everyone else

For such a professional body i am still dismayed how the AFL hold press conference question time

IMO the sentences were very light

They got away with it lightly because they plead for mercy.

Part of me wants MFC to do the same thing if it looks like the AFL are going to destroy us.

What part of the MFC is that ?

If their is any evidence of the MFC being guilty of the Tanking allegations then their would be no further need to do any more investigating

The MFC will be either found Guilty in which case they would need to have someone official from the MFC to admit to it OR the MFC is NOT GUILTY and free to go about its business

Don't want to burst your bubble, but the post of mine that you responded to with those figures (the one where I mentioned the "steel fist"), was prompted by a tweet I saw containing those exact same penalties you mentioned and saying that was what the Crows and Tippet would be hit with.

I don't suppose she raised the looming drugs controversy about to hit a particular AFL club which, coincidentally, is the only club where a former coach has admitted openly to trying not to win a game.

Do you have the inside running redleg?

IMO these penalties would have been discussed in recent weeks, only waiting for the opportune timing to announce "the findings", & of course, "the penalties".

Now let me see, now he is free to get drafted in the Pre Season draft, even with the half season penal tie.

I'll peer into the blue mist, & see what image takes shape? It looks remarkably like Mike fitz & it also looks like Tippett won't call ANZ Stadium home. Unless I'm very wrong, Tippett will see 'Red' slash, before to long, over White.

And even Galbally will wear a 'toothed', grin.

A better penalty for Tippet would be....

  • Play for whichever team drafts you first
  • Cannot put a price on your head
  • Negotiate with club a minimum 3yr deal

No I dont.

I was discussing with someone the tanking issue and his view was that the AFL couldn't find it proved, as it would be a minefield in relation to the gambliing that went on. Litigation could block the courts forever.

If we get found guilty

I wouldn't mind receiving the draft disqualification they got.

Cannot recruit the first 2 picks, but you can trade them in the free agency.

WIN / WIN no more skinny bodies. Yeah!

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
