THE WILSON FILE - the arrogance at the heart of the innuendo

The article included a picture of yesterday's Swan article implying somehow that Collingwood had picked up on CW's expose - when it fact it was Pert who first raised the broad question days ago.

I'm pretty sure Pert knew the Swan piece was coming and put it on the table to try and front foot the whole thing, hence the "it's-an-industry-wide-problem" claims. And that's why it was in the little paper a day before the age story.

Both eddie and pert knew, thats why eddie didn't come out so hard with a rebuttal. funnily enough...Buckley was directly consulted which indicates he isn't told every thing / played to respond.like its CW's bad journalism.

My latest conspiracy theory is that Caroline Wilson is actually on the MFC payroll. She's been employed to finish off the outstanding work of our late President. Jim played a huge role in uniting a fractured club and Wilson's public attack on the Dees has seen many of us pull together with a shared enemy as our focus! Maybe Fan knew more than he was letting on when he said, "Keep up the good work Caro".

Caroline Wilson's credibility took another blow today when Liam Pickering dismissed suggestions she made in a recent article in Fairfax Media that the Collingwood star has a lifestyle problem.

Dane Swan's manager says the Collingwood star is just fine and has no lifestyle issues

"There wasn't a lot of facts to it,'' Pickering said of the call to sack Swan.

Fairfax Media is ailing badly. It's circulation is plummeting and Whispering Jack Media understands that its local newspaper is about to go tabloid in an attempt to regain circulation and its long lost prestige.

The tip is that if its chief football writer keeps up her recent trend of shlock journalism, the paper doesn't have a chance against the HUN which does that thing so much better.

I've always thought the Age was a crap newspaper; it feeds its prejudice to its readers just the same way as the HUN does to theirs.

Wilson is just another hack trying to stand out from the rest by sensationalizing, she may have some credibility with her peers but they themselves have zero credibility so it's a pointless exercise, to be praised by morons, how wonderful.

I used to read the Age all the time but not anymore with that [censored] Wilson writing. She does not have one positive word to say about anyone or any club, she just wants blood.

Nice article today slamming Ricky Pontings' poor stats compared to other Skippers.

The timing of the article is ungenerous at best .

What is going on there?

My favourite part of the article was when Caro said "Collingwood are a powerful, successful, rich club who could withstand a scandal."

She's almost apologising for trying to bring that scandal to them!

C. Wilson has gone completely mad.

Not the only one in that disgraceful rag with the same affliction. One of their once celebrated cartoonists is completely unhinged.

It is certainly not what it seems on the surface.

And Caro is not desirous of wrecking the game she loves.

The AFL Is in the mode of trying to cleanup what its made mistakes with in the recent past years.

Starting with canning the priority pick, & starting to try to reinvent the perceptions the people have, of the integrity of the game. They let it slip.

Enter Caro, may be the only inner sanctum journo? doing the propaganda.

But I wish they would widen the investigations to make the justice equitable, but the AFL want a scapegoat, to satisfy the Romans by sacrificing a Christian. to quieten they're bloodlust.

That's exactly what I've been wondering too, Jack.

Used to think the same of Jeff Kennett.

It's not the case.

WJ, they announced that move months ago. Supposed to happen end of March.

It is just as well that Ms Wilson is not about to go out and play marbles, because she has completely lost them all.

Does anyone know if she actually has any sporting history herself, not that it actually matters? Just wondering if she had, did she ever ever even once not put in 100% effort into winning any game? Could be the basis of a fabulous breaking scoop!

Sorry WJ but the fact his agent says he is fine means zero IMO.

What would we expect him to say that his client is a lost cause who should go into rehab!

The difference in this story from CW is that the defence put up by the people at the Pies has been next to nil.

I think the story was planted by the top people at Collingwood.

If it was totally untrue Eddie and company would threatening to sue CW the Age and anyone who said two words about it.

I smelly a large amount of truth in this story.

Well, according to a poster on the Saintsational site at http://www.saintsational.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=78787&start=50 (at Saturday 24 November 2012 @ 1:28pm), in her younger days Ms. Wilson played with Seve Ballesteros. However, if the poster has it right, it wasn't a game of golf.

Hats off to Saintsational poster White Winmar whose opening paragraph reads -

"I have been subjected to the unfortunate situation in which I share mutual friends with Wilson. At the risk of attacking the woman, rather than what she writes, may I just say she is one of the most thoroughly unpleasant people I've ever met. She is contrary, rude, aloof and comes across as embittered. As for her writing, let's just say she reports gossip, rather than making any insightful observations. If she wasn't Ian wilson's little girl, I doubt we'd ever heard of her."

That's a tad unkind IMO because she is was a good journo in the past. Perhaps the pressures of working on a shocking and awful sinking ship have caused her to transmogrify into a gossip columnist.

And on the subject of gossip, I won't quote White Winmar's second paragraph but I'm tempted to send it to New Idea or Who Weekly. I'm sure they would have an investigative journalist on staff to check out what he claims to be impeccable "thourthes".

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
