Info?

Just whispers in the various media outlets, plus a gut feel. I know Damien Barrett reported today that it is a certainty and that they are fine tuning the specifics. I don't have a whole lot of faith in Barrett's reporting though.

Doggies have some pretty good picks to trade.

Rich is an A-Grader.

Let me see, who might Brisbane be after with Pick 4, who they consider would be worth more to them than Rich ???

Rich is an A-Grader.

Then we have very different ideas of what kind of player is 'A grade'. I think A graders are players like Selwood, Judd, Ablett, Kennedy, Mitchell, Thompson and so on. Rich is at least a couple of levels lower than these guys. He is a handy player but you should be getting a higher calibre of player with pick 4 than him.

Edit: Just to add to that, Jones is a better player than Rich, and he still has a fair way to go to becoming an A grader.

WTF?

His best year was his first when he won the Rising Star. Ever since then he has been serviceable and reliable but no way is he a pick 4 trade.

Pick 20 more like it.

Forget the merits of Rich coming to Melbourne, but that's patent nonsense. He had a great year this year, clearly his best, kicked 20 goals from 20 games, impacted games and averaged over 20 disposals for the first time.

He's arguably the best kick I've seen. I can't believe the nonsense being said about him on this thread.

GUMBY!

Yay

You have a habit of releasing inside information a few hours before it is released PaulRB.

Any more news to this or is it just a gut feel?

Is Rich worth more than Tippet ect? i think we would want something nice in return for Pick 4 personally

Because people are saying Tippet could go for anything around 10 nothing close to pick 4 or 5 even

Starting to wonder if pick 20, Ray and Pedersen are all linked into a potential deal

Pederson and Clint Young to collingwood and Dawes to Bulldogs are the latest.

Won't be happy if we cannot get one of Dawes or Pederson!!

Epic Fail if IF so!

It was the message coming out of the club officially and unofficially all year ...

Following your argument to its logical conclusion, we'd have every club in the AFL knocking on our door to sign up Cale Morton because the club sent out a message that he's a top bloke, is hitting the gym, and is about to turn the corner.

Rival football clubs would have a very clear idea of Moloney's capabilities, strengths and weaknesses, regardless of anything the club does and says. One of the arguments often trotted out on these boards in regards to Prendergast and co is that "they're professionals, they're paid to get it right". That's true, and no club is going to go putting players on $200K a year on the basis of some spin from a rival head coach.

Is there any truth in the rumours of Daniel Rich to dees for pick 4?

Would be very happy to see this trade happen!

I cant get over the fact that Moloney decided to pi$$ off overseas to Vegas when he has no club to play for.

Youd think someone in his position would be running laps day in day out to maintain fitness and show how committed he is.

Ah well, his loss.

Are you for real? He served up a poor season but that shouldn't mean he loses his annual leave entitlements. I'd say there are a ton of AFL players overseas right now, enjoying the only break they get from the pressure cooker environment that is AFL footy. Give the bloke a break and spare the rest of us.

Dam straight i am for real. I dont know about you but if i had no place of employment the last thing i would do is go to Vegas. I would be doing anything i possibly could to land something.

Not attempting to derail a thread but Emma is attractive and likes football pretty handy combination imo.

In an everyday situation I'd agree with you what you've just said, but I'm not an AFL footballer with an agent making representations on my behalf. Brent's played ~150 games of AFL footy, that's enough of a demonstration to potential employers of what he can do. Brent doesn't need to be here for all of this. He's only a phone call away if need be.

Didn't Wellingham go overseas during his latest dealing "leaving the two clubs to facilitate a trade"?

You'd carry on if we got them, because you wouldn't like what we paid, and you'd carry on if we miss them, as it's a sign of how useless we are. You win either way.

I won't lose a nano second of sleep over either.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
