The goal you most went nuts over

I'm interested in, recent and ones before I was born, goals in which you simply went nuts over the most. It gave you a license to just simply go nuts and yell as loudly and wildly as you could.

I'm going to start of and say

Jeff white vs western bulldogs '05.

Needed to kick it to keep us in the finals race with just 1 game, and a couple of minutes to go. Talk about pressure! Miss it, you're out of the finals race , win and you're just about in.

I went buzzurk like no other goal.

#5 Froggie 1964 GF would surely have to be the greatest all time Demon goal, but of course dependent upon Hassa Mann's dying moments goal at Glenferrie Oval, without which we would have missed the finals altogether!

Cam Bruce in the dying stages of the 2000 QF was also pretty inspirational and left the Cheaters aghast

Ox just before half time in ?1994 ?QF, again vs the Cheaters was game turning

All of the above, plus the G. Lyon barrel in PF at Waverley 1988 - last happy footy moment of that year.

Also, the T. Viney opener at the start of the 1987 EF against North - our first finals goal since Froggie's, and the first of a torrent for the day.

2008 melb frem game where we came back from 50odd points down at half time, when we hit the front thanks to woneaemirri's goal in the dying minutes. never been so proud, was at the g that day, and the small crowd sounded like there were 100,000+ in the ground. (feel sorry for ther poor father and his son sitting in front of me who left at half time. he must have kicked himself)

video is worth watching from about 44 minutes in.

Amen to that. I was 14 and I was getting worried because I wasnt used to watching Melbourne lose. At that moment I realised there was a god,he was a Demon, and to this day I walk into the G expecting (deep down) that the redlegs will win. Sadly though my faith is waining,I have a buddhist worldview now and the noble truth of suffering looms large......Time for another one please.......Watts from the members wing boundary after 3 bounces would do it I reckon

Jakovich Scissor Kick Firstly at number one...you just cant do that from how ever far out it was...its just insanity & genious!

Woeys MCG run goal from half back raised the hair a bit on my back also..

Garry Lyon kicked some rippers over the years too many many classy goals from Gazza!

2000 Qualifying final Vs Carlton, come back from 30+ behind, Uze kicked it off the ground through the goal to put us in front.

Ball sails through the goals and onto my chest, pure ecstasy!

The entire second half of that match.

I don't know, even as a winless side with no hope, the second half was just...different. I remember it like it was yesterday.

Some that come to mind:

2012: Jones' banana goal against the Bombers. I fell to my knees in celebration - a great moment. To a lesser extend, Garland's goal in the goal square.

2011: Watts' goal against Richmond (false dawn? sign of the future?)

Moloney's goal against the Bombers on the run from 55.

2010: Aussie's and Jurrah's goals against the Swans and Hawks.

2009: Jordan McMahon?

2008: Davey's and Wonaeamirri's goals against the Dockers

Miller's mark and goal at the 36 minute mark against the Lions

2007: Robbo's 7th after the siren against the Pies on QB

2006: Davey's goal against the Cats in round 6

Mclean's goal in the Elimination Final

Bruce's goal against the Swans

Neitz dobbing a heap from outside 50 against the Saints

Yze's goal against the Pies QB

2005: White's goal against the Dogs

Robbo's goals against the Cats and Bombers

Yze's goal against the Bombers to start the season

2004: Vardy in the wet against the Dockers

Johnstone's goal against the Bombers in the EF

2003: -

2002: Jonhstone/Yze against the Crows

Neitz's rampage against the Lions

2001: Leoncelli's goal against the Crows

2000: Woey against the Cats

Yze/Green/Bruce/Leoncelli against the Blues

Farmer against the Pies/Dockers/Roos

1999: (This was actually a point) Robbo against the Hawks

1998: Tingay against the Eagles

Farmer vs the Hawks

Lyon vs the Crows

All very fun moments at the time, yet looking back they're all pretty mediocre memories in the greater scheme of the game. Although, after a few wins I'll no doubt look back with utter joy...

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
