Jetta is back on the primary list and looking like playing for Casey this week.

Awesome news.

On the down side, Couch is now no longer eligible to play in the senior side. Still, of the two I'd rather see Nev up and going.

Presumably Couchy would be able to fill the vacancy left by Mitch Clark if required?

We have Gawn on the LTI, and now we will elevate Clark. We were able to elevate one at the start of the year due to having 1 listed veteran. That means Magner, Nicho, and Couch can and will remain on the primary list.

I'm a fan of Jetta's. Whether he can perform over the remainder of the season may well decide whether he remains on the list in 2013.

Good Luck Nev

Good for him. I rate Jetta and still think he can be a part of our regular 22 at the end of the year (if he can just avoid shattering into a thousand pieces by then).

Good, I'm a fan and glad he may be able to fight for his place on the list now.

Good luck.

Was impressed with him at training early in the year.

Hope he can come on & show he is worth a spot.

Must admit I have a huge soft spot for Nev Jetta, I think this guy can play but it has to be in the midfield or down back. I loved the story of the family moving to Melbourne when he was drafted, I feel sorry for him due to the constant injuries he has had. It is a few years back now but his game against Brisbane at Visy park was one of the most dominate game we have seen from any of our midfielders since, hard was great around the clearances.

I hope he can get his body right for the next 10 weeks, fplay a couple of senior games, dominate finals for Casey and retain his spot on our list for a couple more years. This kid is all heart and deserves some luck.

Will be good for Jetta to have an opportunity to remain on our list, its not over for Nev just yet perhaps.

Although most likely the writing is already on the wall, it is never too late to turn it around,

good luck to Nev, hopefully he knuckles down for the hard work - as he needs to improve a lot to remain on our list.

I think Nev will play a few games at Casey, regain his match fitness and then come into the 1sts. He is hard at it and offers us something different in the midfield mix. I'm not sure if its quite make or break time for him yet as he is still young - dont think either of Bennell or Jetta will be cut from our list at the end of the year.

Speaking of Jettas, it took ages for Leroy to come good. On the other hand Lewis was always a freak. Was playing WAFL 1sts at a young age was the black and white's version of Cyril Rioli.

I expect that Neeld will like Nev's workrate and hardness, and I hope he can stay fit, and put his hand up for senior selection over the next 4 to 6 weeks.

And we could've had him! Oh the angst!

His brother Graham is a handy defender. Probably missed the boat for drafting though

I agree DWA, & hope your right.

Nev is IMO a good type, lacks outright speed, but I think he has some strong skills to add to our list.

I hope he can mature quickly & keep a place to develop further.

You can be a real pain Old Dee...do you ever post anything that doesn't involve sh***** on the Club, the players or other posters?

if anybody actually listens to what the coaches say, at the beginning of the season before he got injured, Jade Rawlings said in public and in a conversation with me at the Family Day that Nev had improved out of sight over the off season....he was fitter than ever.....spoke to him after the injury and Jade said he was [censored] off he had lost him from the back

Although I am biased my MFC jumper has the nr 39 on the back.

Nev will still be at the Club next season

Old dee is allright mate, never any malice in his posts, just loves to take the bait whenever #7 is mentioned.

In fact, If you ever get bored on demonland you can go 'fishing' for old dee. He's a easy to 'catch', goes for a lot of different baits; JB, #7, Bennell, Jamie, old #43, Carey Park Panthers, Jetta's mate, outs for this week, only couple of touches, possible delists etc etc

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
