Inside word. Hatred rating - 7/10. Bullshyte. You wouldn't be posting here if that were true.

It beggars belief. Hatred rating - 6/10. Rings hollow when the person saying it can't spell Mlebuoner.

Bleeds Red and Blue. Hatred rating 10/10. Could you be any more melodramatic?

FGS - say what you want say and do it succinctly. I have absolutely and positively and unashamedly no time for people who use these ridiculous and overstated and boring and self-indulgent personal grand-standing rubbish cliches. I know a week's a long time in football, but the chickens always seem to come home to roost each week when we start taking a good hard look at ourselves in the mirror.

Probably could have done a better job at that, but CBF'd.

Which repeated, mindless cliches do you hate?

Elite ....skills! Sh1ts me to tears. Absolute rubbish, as it is usually so far from the truth as it can be.

Only one I can think of at the moment, oh, actually I came up with another

IMHO. It is my experience that the people who sprout this off ad nauseum have opinions which are far from humble (ho007, this is for you  ), and it is usually said in a very un-humble, condescending way.

"Future Captain". Excluded under the Brad Miller rule.

"Will never be a premiership player / you'll never win a premiership with players like that". Excluded under the Steven Armstrong rule.

Personally, I also hate it when people refer to "xx thousand years without a premiership" as if this is in some way an indictement upon the current club board and leaders.

WINNER:

A player is "soft".

If you are playing AFL football, you are definitely not soft.

A definite cheap shot from posters who never played the game higher than a kick to kick in the school yard.

SECOND:

A player would be "good trade bait".

Typically this comes from a poster who regards players that have played 10 games in 5 years with a lowly club like MFC as being of some intrinsic value to a another club who will give over a 1st or 2nd round draft pick and have not discovered that the player cant think, kick, handball, mark or tackle or any of the aforementioned. The same poster will also think that if you package 2 or more of such players in a deal that Clubs will go into a lather to get an NQR showbag of mediocrity

THIRD:

"That was the worst exhibition of umpiring I have ever seen." This only lasts until the next week when the same dross is trotted out. Also used as a fake and ignnorant excuse that "it cost us the game" or its part of an "AFL conspiracy to destroy MFC"

SPECIAL MENTION:

Personally, I also hate it when people refer to "xx thousand years without a premiership" as if this is in some way an indictement upon the current club board and leaders.

Absolutely. Self serving mindless dross that does not establish anything.

OTHER MENTION:

"He wont be part of premiership side" - A truly dumb comment when there are examples ofordinary players being in the right place at the right time that get a guernsey in a flag. This issue is whether that person is critical to a flag pursuit and whether you pay over the odds to retain the player.

Exception:

The exhibition of umpiring by the three maggots who ran the show at the Adelaide Oval last Sunday because I really believe it was the worst exhibition of umpiring I've ever seen and the non mark to Jeremy Howe the most inexplicable marking decision I've ever witnessed. Also, because it was the last game of the season, the memory is going to last more than "until next week" and this one was so bad that the memory might linger until at least four weeks into next season when we might run into Schmitt again.

I don't think this exhibition was part of "an AFL conspiracy to destroy MFC" - that's a ridiculous suggestion. We all know it was part of a conspiracy to give Gold Coast draft pick 4 ahead of the idiots at Port Adelaide who refused to tank. This will now enable the Suns to use that pick to get the Jaeger bomb and GWS will score the first 5 selections in the upcoming draft.

So, would IMNSHO be ok then (even if reeking of insincerity)?

Haha, nice one daisy.

I've thought of another. Why on earth when talking about a player or coach we would like does everyone have to say "a" Malthouse, "a" Shuey etc, etc? Perhaps "someonse along the lines of" might be more what you were looking for!

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
