Only early days, but first signs from Tappy are that Roost Its hunches are Shite! Been impressive so far.

so much man love for Tappy after today. Ready built footballer straight out of the box. Looked like a veteran. Would be happy to have 35 on the back of the jumper

And I think final signs are that Roost Its hunches are shite too! What a gun! :)

Yep, no doubt the kid can play and he has certainly proven he is no one-trick pony. Booming kick, accurate delivery, reads the play exceptionally well, strong mark, fearless and hard as nails! At least Roost It should now have the opportunity to reassess now that he has actually seen the kid play.

Brilliant debut. His kicking was top notch, he was hard at it, seemed to run it out no problem, and just overall didn't look like a first gamer. Loved it, and will easily hold his spot for next week.

Posted

So which one of these is his one trick?

- The ability to take truly gutsy marks at critical moments in the game?

- Ability to hit targets consistently?

- Ability to win contested ball regularly?

- Ability to run through blokes in a way we haven't seen since Byron Pickett came to top up his super mid 2000s?

I don't normally like to say I told you so, especially after one game, but that was such a ridiculous call that I can't help myself.

Almost killed Rhyce Shaw in the last quarter, great debut.

I loved that hit, Tapscott is a MONSTER. He looks like a very promising player for MFC... Although I am disappointed I did not see him kick a goal from 80 out.. maybe next week.

Posted

Tapscott is awesome. He will play 22 games if he stays fit. Better on Debut than Watts/Trengrove/Scully. On par with Gys who played well in his first hit out last year. Lots to like about Tapscott!!

we have found an absolute beauty here.

Couragous, good decision maker, great kick and is bloody tough at the contest(just ask Shaw)

Well played on debut Luke

The only good thing out of this draw is that our points total is greater than Roost It's credibility total.

Very, very good debut. Cult figure status brewing.

great game...will he get a rising star nod?

Will go close you would think. Competition from Libba and Irons from Port maybe.

Very impressed with his performance today. I put him in my supercoach team @ just over $100,000 dollars the other night so am happy with that decision!

The winning margin is greater than Roost It's credibility total.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
