We badly missed Davey and Sylvia today. Bennell seriously needs to be dropped, and Newton...well...

I'm a big Garland fan, but he got smashed today. Frawley did a much better defensive job and his disposals were much cleaner.

Moloney was terrible too. Maybe he struggled after 4 weeks out, but he had no influence on the game, which is disappointing for a leader.

I thought that out of everyone in the leadership group, Bruce and Rivers were the two who stood out, but the more I think about it the more NQR next year's leader is going to be. If Grimes was just a little older, he would be the perfect candidate.

6) Jurrah (4 gls, highlights aplenty, will be a marquee player)

5) Bruce ( great first half, played like a leader)

4) Scully (exciting game, clangers were minimal, great goal on the bell)

3) McDonald (typical skipper performance)

2) McKenzie (liked his inside work, never gave up unlike others)

1) Aussie (made things happen, but wasn't a great effort overall)

I refuse to give any key defenders votes today. Their worst effort all year.

6. Bruce (Great first half, solid second half, but a few costly errors)

5. Jurrah (Unbelievably exciting and very few, if any, errors)

4. McDonald (Very solid, as usual)

3. Scully (Lots of good, undone by too many disposal errors)

2. Rivers (Similar to Scully, but some of his errors were stupid and undisciplined)

1. McKenzie (Had to find someone for one vote, on a day when we had few 4 qtr. contribitors)

Disappointing day! We have to learn to win at that bloody ground.

Mostly a poor performance all round. Missed Col, needed Grimes. Newton was a bad inclusion. :(

........................ Newton was a bad inclusion. :(

I disagree '99. Newton wasn't great, but I thought he contributed more around the ground than PJ has done in his recent games, he was no worse in the ruck.

To many passengers. Moloney needed the run. Newton to the VFL for the rest of his football career, alot of the guys looked flat :S

To many easy shots on goal missed.

Let's all turn out next week for Juniors last game.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
