Jack Watts ill with a low level virus

The Jack of Grimes

Recommended Posts

I have heard from a source that Jack Watts has an infection. I won't go into details however this infection is not serious, but is taking a while to heal. Therefor not training with main group. Should be ready to resume by their first training session early next year.

you have remember - this is the season to be silly. i also heard that Tom Scully had kissed a girl who had glandular fever. I'd be far more concerned if i heard that someone had ruptured his knee - eg: Andy ottens and David rodan in SA.

I've had a bit of a virus this week but I can say without fear of contradiction that I should be right as rain come the end of March 2010.

Watts injured? How can our football department stand by as one of our brightest prospects' career is derailed by injury?

This surely calls for a full scale review of the club's injury management practices!!

Personally, I'm sick of this club accepting mediocrity.

:lol::lol::lol:

Too much post-VCE partying for young Jack!

Actually, during a particularly competitive game of table tennis, Jack managed to slice off his right leg. This is not expected to disrupt his preseason, though BB will need to adjust his running style. Jack's only comment was "it's just a flesh wound".

The title of this thread makes my gut churn. Infection? of what? I hope youre right about it not being serious. Ive been concerned to hear he hasnt been training. Was hoping someone might know what is up.

Heard he's been doing really heavy gym work to bulk up for 2010 so would be doing a bit less of other stuff to compensate.

Have a friend who tried the goji berries. She had the constant runs, which stopped after she stopped eating them, guess they don't agree with everybody!

I used to eat them a bit in London a couple of years ago, but haven't seen them here, though its not like I looked.

They did make me feel pretty good, but weren't cheap and tasted like what I imagine to be dry dog food.

Geesus

Is she a vegetarian? The bit of extra fibre may have got her!

Dont know what you were eating.

They taste like beautiful sweet cherries. Like nice sultanas..

Better than any piece of lab made sugar-infested lolly you buy at the store and the healthiest food on earth.

But yeah.. a bit expensive.. a $24 1/2 kg bag lasts me a month- but i scoff em. You can get them at any health food store..

Mabbe Jack should be eating Gojis..

(BTW- Acai berries are good too, but i cant afford too lose the weight that goes along with it..)

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
