Fev - Odds on of being fired today!

Grand New Flag

Recommended Posts

As previously mentioned I am very close with a high ranking Carlton official. I was having a beer with this official yesterday.

Carlton are odds on to sack Fev today and put him up for trade. He was already on his last strike before the Brownlow disgrace. Several Carton officials have previously moved to have him fired but these officials are now supported by Judd.

Fevs verbal abuse to Chris Judd on National TV was the final straw in that camels back for Juddy who has to this point always supported Fev despite finding Fev "very difficult". Judd now wants him out and believes Carlton can't win a premiership with him on the list. Judd blames Fev for constantly stirring the pot and undermining his Captaincy resulting in unhealthy player politics rather than the team family thing Judd believes is necessary to win a Premiership. (I am really enjoying this)

Problem is that Carlton may not be able to win a Premiership with Fev, they also certainly can't win a Premiership without Fev........... could not happen to a nicer mob.

Apparently Sydney and other clubs have already put their hand up.

The Blues have a 2-3 year window with Fev but they have a 5-6 year window with Judd, Waite, Murphy, Gibbs, Kruezer and now McLean.

Trading Fev now would be a gutsy move but they have time to replace him and have shown an ability to get their man to the club - Stevens, Judd, Warnock.

Don't reckon Carlton hierachy have kahunas big enough to sack him. Until Carlton get fully professional about winning flags they will suffer being an also ran.

Fev has broken his contract agreement, but watch the Players Association get behind him to keep him on the gravy train.

How smart is his Missus, to keep putting up with this crap as well? Is she very clever, anyway?

The whole scene is messy and Carlton are on trial here to show the footy world what they are made of.

They will cave in I reckon and keep him, but tell everyone again he is on a new strict contract. That is to say he has been massively penalized but has agreed to behavioral sanctions. How many chances? What a joke!

The irony of trade week at Cartel park.

If Fev gets sacked we have trained McLean up as their new forward pocket key marking target - and to think that Brock was unhappy about playing down there ;)

Or Fev is not sacked...Judda$ cracks it and decides to become a Demon after all. More irony as MFC place him on a good behaviour contract - no amateur martial arts Chris - even if you do bring Ms. Twigley along with you.

Interesting reasoning.

NOT he has behaved outrageously time and time again.

NO, the problem is that he has upset the eye gouger!!

Irony.

Thought they may suspend him for 3 weeks to take the publicity away from"The Claw"!

Fev being on the table may see Hall end up at Carlton.

With Fev available what's to stop the Dogs from balking on Hall to opt instead for Fev.

That would leave the blues to snaffle Hall which might be enough to keep their window open for another year or 2 but they will have to contend with a super dangerous doggies team with Fev in the goal square.

All in all though, here's hoping the Blues get the short end of the stick and suffer for it on field

So Judas is upset is he? Well he should have thought of that earlier when he was sitting at the same table, laughing at Fev's antics... this bloke (Judd) is getting more annoying by the minute. I thought he was supposed to be one of the smarter ones. He clearly isn't that bright after all and his general smugness is starting to wear thin with most supporters.

The two most opposite AFL players IMO are Tadgh Kennelly (plays his heart for jumper and team, not interested in the cash) and Chris Judd (franchise player, plays for money, jumper irrelevant).

May this greedy mans' castle duly crumble!!!

Fevola will still be playing for Carlscum next year as they don't have the guts to act.

They will make a big song and dance about how he is under strict probation etc, he will probably agree to abstain for the length of his contract and attend AA meetings but he will still be at Visy park.

Have said to others, Judd ain't no brain surgeon - a great football player yes. He showed a lack of off field leadership and ain't that a part of the job?

There is a strained relationship happening here, but the gutless hierachy will do nothing about it.

Fev to be retained and the partyline will be he is under more constraints re his behavior. Predictable really.

Its all mirrors and smokescreens with this mob. was previously and is continuously.

Still a long way from a flag.

If Fev does get the ar$e, it will be pretty funny watching Carlton next season......

Judd gives it off to Murphy, Murphy looks inside 50, sees nothing on offer, short pass back to Judd..... Judd gives off the quick handball to the running Gibbs, Gibbs looks upfield and sees NOTHING on offer, quickly turns around and passes it 30m backwards to McLean, McLean drops the mark :P, but with poise regathers and gives off a pass to Judd again.... He looks further afield to see NO BLOODY OPTIONS WHATSOEVER, and in a panic he kicks it back into his own defensive area.... Bad mistake Juddy, not only don't you have any forwards, but your defence is also ratshit.... HAHAHA....

Will be so much fun :D

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out

    GOOD MORNING by Meggs

If you are driving or training it to Cranbourne on Saturday, don’t forget to set your alarm clock. The Melbourne Demons play the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields this Saturday, with the bounce of the ball at 11:05am.  Yes, that’s AM.   The AFLW fixture shows deference to the AFL men’s finals games.  So, for the men it’s good afternoon and good evening and for the women it’s good morning.     The Lions were wounded last week by 44 points, their highest ever los

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.

    REMATCH by Meggs

The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm. Our last game of 2023 was an agonisingly close 5-point semi-final loss to Geelong, and we look forward to Melbourne turning the tables this week. Practice match form was scratchy for both teams with the Demons losing practice matches to Carlton and Port Adelaide, while the Cats beat Collingwood but then lost to Essendo

    WELCOME 2024 by Meggs

It’s been hard to miss the seismic global momentum happening in Women’s sport of late. The Matildas have been playing to record sell-out crowds across Australia and ‘Mary Fowler is God’ is chalked onto footpaths everywhere. WNBA basketball rookie sensation Caitlin Clark has almost single-handedly elevated her Indiana Fever team to unprecedented viewership, attendances and playoffs in the USA.   Our female Aussie Paris 2024 Olympians won 13 out of Australia’s all-time record 18 gol

    EPILOGUE by Whispering Jack

I sit huddled in near darkness, the only light coming through flickering embers in a damp fireplace, the room in total silence after the thunderstorm died. I wonder if they bothered to restart the game.  No point really. It was over before it started. The team’s five star generals in defence and midfield ruled out of the fray, a few others missing in action against superior enemy firepower and too few left to fly the flag for the field marshal defiantly leading his outnumbered army int
