It's fantastic news!!

Grimes was drafted as a ready made prospect, so it'll be great to finally see the kid play.

He comes with some HUGE wraps, with a lot of clubs saying he would have been top 5 bar his recent injuries.

If Grimes is back then don't we have to put another player on the long term injury list to enable Aussie to keep playing (Aussie went on the senior list when Grimes was put on the LTI)?

Moloney and Robertson are both on the LTI list now.

Dont think there will be a problem with Aussie.

Good to see Jack is ready. hope the poor bugger can stay injury free till the end of the year.

Neitz put himself on the LTI list before he retired, so he could just take that spot

Yes..it didnt go unoticed that they did it that way....well done MFC ;) ( Attention to detail !! :) )

Good luck grimes!

I think if he plays this week it will be a half in the 2's and then progress from there, Would love to see him in the seniors by round 21, just hope he can produce some form to get there, but no matter if he does not, just hope he gets his body right and is ready for a full preseason.

Agree with that. This season should now just be for blowing out the cobwebs. I'd set my sights pretty low -- be aiming to be able to run a full game out for Sandy by years end, and put in a full pre-season ready to smash it next year.

This is the most exciting news all year for me. I hope he's able to get a run this week.

Hopefully Bell gets up for this week. I wonder how he'd go with a week off, though. Might be just the thing..? Perhaps I'm just trying to find the bright side.

I'm with you on this one, Nasher.

Best of luck Jack! We'll see you in the seniors in a few weeks!!!

The Dees should put in Maric and Grimes in before Round 18. And Meesen. Lets take a look at em. Give them a taste of AFL, then full pre-seasons for them.

Looking fwd to 2009! Go Dees!

I'm also yearning for Juice!!

I've got a feeling you will be yearning for that Juice for awhile yet!!!

And also would not be surprised if the Juice changes flavours between now and the next time you have a taste (eg. changes clubs)

Massive trade bait IMHO

who would a kid that has played 10-15 games, hasnt really set things alight at AFL level, who has questionable commitment to his football career?

juice needs to realise that he has 10 weeks left to not become an AFL reject, not to have to go back to his home town and be known as the guy who couldv'e made the grade, just didnt have the heart...

Great to see him back, i am still sad everytime is see Moloney (season) :(

Yeah me too. Such bad luck, he's seem a top bloke and loves the club more than anything! No doubt he's making his presence felt around the place at training and stuff, since he can't do it on the field.

Well who better for a future captain than someone who not only captained the Vic side, but grew up wearing a Demons jumper? Skill, leadership and his heart beats true for the red and the blue? Sounds perfect to me :)

And, from what I can tell, yes.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
