Off to a good start with agent Paul Connors saying that contract offers for Leunberger aren't big enough to net the Lions a 1st round compo pick

Let the silliness begin

im a bit of a dweeb asking this, but is it actually on a radio station or just on the AFL app, saves me googling anyways (which was probably easier to do).

Trade radio is on par with Facebook for reliability.

When people say "Facebook" most of the time they are referring to the AFL trade pages and most of the time those are referring to comments made by journalists. It doesn't make them any more accurate but this context needs to be understood.

Then why do they even mention facebook?

I think this is sometimes the case, but often not.

Just talked about:

Toump to Port

Moore to Essendon

Melksham to Melbourne

Thoughts?

They'll be talking about Toumpas shortly.

A possible three-way trade may be in play between Melbourne, Port and Essendon.

Means we keep our 2nd round pick. So I'd take it.

We give up a player who has not been able to become part of the starting 22 for one that usually is.

It will hurt some to give up a pick 4 but we get back a pick 10, altho draft pick # is quite irrelevant.

I will have to find another favourite player for my DL profile...Jesse or Gus maybe...

However I would be surprised if Essendon will do that trade.

Our second round pick will go to Freo for their first round pick and they get Howe

Is that a prediction/idea? Or where are you hearing that?

What's there first Rd pic?

So we give up Howe for an improvement from (currently) #24 to #16?

Pick 16. I haven't heard this one.

Toumpas averages more disposals than Melksham, albeit plays less. Not sure it's a great move. But I guess they're pushing Toumpas out anyway, so may as well get something for him.

Is this a trick question ?

I heard Howe to freo October last year, guessing the trade but our second for their first and maybe grab their second round pick, i reckon something like that works

lol....they just had an ad for Dunlop "Super Deals" where Cam Mooney compared their "super deals" to Sydney swooping in to get Franklin on a 10 year contract.

I'd be looking closely at the warranty conditions on that "super deal".

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
