Sorry to say that I won’t be able to provide any analysis this weekend because I’ll be on a flight to Bali . Yes I know it’s very inconsiderate of me, and obviously it’s music to the ears of many, but now is the opportunity for any budding 3 worder trainees to give it a go and open up a whole new career path.. for a week. And in the immortal 3 words of Arnie Shwarzenegger… I’ll be back10 points

I would argue his value has gone up. He came to us under a real injury cloud. He has shown he can be a very good solo ruckman. I’d say 20 - 25 is the mark.10 points

Feel slightly conflicted given my daughter plays for the hawks, but go Dees! I was at the practice match at Casey on Saturday. It’s hard to see anyone getting close to Melbourne tbh. Think North might be the biggest threat, as Lions and Crows have lost key players - however their home ground advantage means a lot.10 points

The club have been informed that young Charlie has sadly passed. At such a tender young age. Condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace ❤️ For those unaware of his story - https://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/1413398/young-demon-charlie-tiang?videoId=1413398&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=16926884580019 points

Not sure bringing Tmac on a wet and horrible day is ideal. Have some not learnt from the Ben Brown in Alice Spring fiasco?8 points

As gs77 said above, life is so unfair sometimes. Hope his moments with the boys gave him some pleasure. Sincere condolences to all his family and friends. RIP little Dee.8 points

This was always the number 1 scenario. sydney want him. But we still have a Flag to win, he may yet be part of it. I hope he is… Will be worth a lot more personally I would like Brodie to stay one more Season, but if he goes for a number 1 Ruck Job, then it is fully understandable. There will be no ill feelings8 points

Ladhams is an almighty spud (known unaffectionately to swans fans as “the peanut”). He’s 26 next season and yet to show anything at AFL level. Completely ineffective around the ground, in the ruck, and is as stupid as they come with fake tough guy stuff. My swans supporting mates all sink in shame when he’s named and would rather play without a ruckman than have that dumb spud run around in their jumper. I’d be devastated if we traded away Grundy only to bring Ladhams. We’ve for currency to try and shake loose a gun tall forward like Harry McKay or Ben King again. May as well have a crack while we can and if it doesn’t work out then we just take the good picks to draft.8 points

I think BBB will retire at the end of this season. He’s knee issues are ongoing and he’s unlikely to be able to perform at the level required. He’s a premiership player and would be always remembered for his goals from the 2021 GF🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆7 points

I have little doubt that if a Demon player did what McCartin did, he’d get a month , and the media would be criticising the “ culture “ at Melbourne.7 points

The kid had a lot more courage than me to fight the way he did. Love and support to his family during this time. RIP champ.7 points

Loved the way players referenced Fitzsimon’s game (the run down tackle and the smother response) and what that represented for the team. It’s not fearing failure and knowing how to respond to mistakes - because footy’s full of them - that got us the cup. Also, I’m officially on Tayla goal-celebration watch this season 😂7 points

Tissues please.....🥲 Wow, that was special. Memories and the feeling rushing back. How blessed were/are we to have this group represent our club. The love and respect they have for each other is palpable. So deserving Premiers and I expect more to come. They have to show this doco to the men's team and get Mick to talk to them before finals. "Brisbane unbeatable at home" - sound familiar? When you have the talent, and above all, the belief in each other, it happens. And now, after renewing my MFC AFLW seasons ticket, I'm about to watch the replay of the girls winning the flag. DO NOT DISTURB7 points

Grundy and a third rounder for Georgiades? I know we were keen in his draft year, he's got no contract, and he's not yet 22. Coming off a reco and not in their senior side at the time. Fritsch, JVR, Kozzie, Watson, Chandler and Georgiades forward for the next 7 years? Yes please.7 points

With regards to the mooted medium sized forward line it should be noted Smith can often play tall and that Fritsch can take a high mark on occasions JVR is a tall and as each week goes by his physicality is coming to the fore And Petracca can therefore become the wild-card forward much like how Dusty Martin was used If we take Petracca out of the forward line more often, the flow on effect is what do we do with Brayshaw as someone ends up getting squeezed out of the centre bounces? (and that can't be Viney or Oliver) And then there's Kozzie Pickett as the other wild-card forward (or at some of the centre bounces) So, despite the loss of Petty, our forward line is looking dangerous (with the return of Fritsch) and with the goal kicking capabilities of Melksham It's almost like we've got one extra but that's for the MC to sort out7 points

Can you ask him about his goal kicking routine, and when he makes the decision to kick around the corner, and when it’s a drop punt?7 points

Yep, incredible. From a two game ban to nothing. The tribunal system is broken, as is McAdam's cheekbone. The AFL is a court jester.6 points

This or a similar deal with the Swans for McLean would be best case scenario I reckon Despite the partnership with Gawn not working as intended this year, we could still come out winners in the Grundy trade if we land a promising young player out of it As much as I feel for Grundy on a human level, he’s a great asset for us to have either as a second ruck or as a trade piece6 points

Hi Just popping in to say that collingwood played geelong twice at the mcg and won both in tight games We played them in geelong and lost If theyd played once in geelong theyd have lost that If we'd played them at the mcg we'd have won This would put all 4 teams on 64 points with us on top on %age Stuff the afl and their "fixture"6 points
