For those of you who continue to attack other posters over their credibility or lack thereof in trade rumours threads, please sod off and leave the rest of us in peace. There are plenty of us who enjoy the rumours comfortable in the knowledge that most of them will not eventuate. Discouraging people from posting what they hear is both unnecessary and frankly, annoying as these trade threads would be utterly boring if people didn't post what they hear. So to Generation Dee, GNF, Abe, Chook in Perth et al, please continue to provide your info. Sometimes the journey can be just as fun as the destination.

It's amazing people are questioning where Lewis fits in our best 22. He finished 2nd in the B n F of a side who finished the regular season in 3rd spot and missed a prelim final by a kick. He's played in 5 grand finals and won 4 of them, while also winning a B n F in a premiership year and also getting All Australian honours. I will tell you where in the best 22 he will be, most likely in the first 5 picked.

Rockliff is outspoken with a poor filter, but he means well. He challenges coaches and his fellow players. A change of scenery to a club with a developing culture is probably in order. I have faith in Goodwin, McCartney and the other coaching group to have him pushing in the right direction. I rate Rockliff's ability to play midfield and forward. Our coaching group is now second to none and I have faith he could be successfully implemented into our gameplan and be more damaging than he has been recently at Brisbane. Lewis, Hibberd and Rockliff would be nothing short of incredible for a club that now rates going through the draft and had so little to offer up for trades. I fully suppirt the strategy, because we have the best group of young players already stockpiled in the league. If it all comes off the sky is the limit in 2017.

Lewis will be worth his weight in gold. The stories, the training ethic, and the belief he'll be able to impart on our midfield will be enormous. It's one thing having the coaches say we're building something special, but another to have a 4-time premiership peer to share their belief. I do think Lewis is slowing down and was starting to get caught more than normal, but I also reckon he has enough footy left to walk in and be one of our top 3 mids. Straight away he makes us better. Lewis is a superb reader of the play, a ball magnet and very good user of the footy. Just over a year ago he was AA, and in the final against Geelong he was Hawthorn's best player with 36 disposals. Melbourne are developing an outnumber contested ball-winning team. And Lewis will be super important in that pursuit for at least the next two years. If you don't recognise the value he brings you haven't thought things through.

just updated on Facebook Zanotti Files. ROCKLIFF UPDATE Our source has gotten back to us and assured us Rockliff to the Dees is still in play. Melbourne's 2017 1st round selection and Dunn being floated as a potential trade. We have to back our source in on this as Lewis agreeing to 3 year deal was given to us in the initial message. We stuck our necks out on Mitchell and Lewis and the information was rock solid. IF it proves to be wrong we'll wear that. IF the deal falls over we will get some context around what happen. Either way we will keep you all informed. We're not here to farm likes, otherwise we'd have more than 9000 following this page. We try and keep the information as legit as possible. Peace ✌

I think the key thing we should all be proud of is that Lewis specifically picked us out. He didn't want to talk to anyone else. How many times have I read posters on here bemoaning the fact that we are not a preferred destination of elite players? Welli have news for them - we are now! And it has everything to do with our late round thrashing of the Hawks. If someone is blatantly making up rumours then then they have no credibility, but if they are simply passing on what they are hearing then it's not their fault if it doesn't eventuate. EDIT: This is of course assuming that it is reasonable that who they are getting the information from is likely to have accurate information in the first place.

As a side note... Lewis gets more hitouts than Vickery. Come to think of it, he also kicked 27 goals one season, which is only just shy of Vickery's best (36, back in 2011). So maybe Lewis is the forward-ruck we've been missing?

Young warroir, please make it true. I have been reading for a long time, regrettably I didn't have the confidence in my IT ability to post until recently. Some of you probably have fathers like me that need help finding the mouse button and technical stuff like that. I will say though that even though a lot of you say things that don't make much sense I don't care. I love all of it and I know all of your hearts beat true. You keep posting, I will keep reading (and post occasionally) and we will all see the Demons prosper.

Amazing that we have a better list than GWS and the best coaching group in the comp but only finished 11th... The "we're flying"/"training the house down" stuff has started a bit earlier than normal this year. Must be the Lewis factor...

I was reflecting on this PD when I woke up this morning. Peter Jackson and Paul Roos need to be remembered here for how solid we are in our first trading period since Roos' departure. If the transition wasn't 100% managed, we'd be seeing some level of discontentment and players wanting out. But not a single player wants to leave (yes we're shopping Dunn to BNE, but I'm not counting that as player driven). I think this fact alone makes us a destination club, and I can't wait to see the improvements to standards we get with the touted inclusions. Job well done, PJ and PR.
