Why did we buy all these rucks to play JVR in there?

YYYYYYEEESSSSSSSS

JVR’s development has been stunted because he has a) had terrible delivery and b) thrown into the ruck too much. New coach and here he is… in the ruck!!!

[censored] you umpires

HTB paid high. It was not high you moron ump

That’s the second needless free Petty has given away!!!

That 50 was the worst decision of the year

Heath should be in the side and the second ruck. I hate Roo being in the ruck as I would hate for him to get injured.

I know I'm the dump one here, but Petty gives not one gram of leadership.

What an absolute farce is the stand rule. Marker and opponent fall to ground. Guy gets up to stand on mark - 50 - goal.

Absolute disgrace.

We always make chumps look like stars. Mitch McGovern is possibly the worst AFL player to ever play 100 games. Of course he’s tracking for BOG against us haha

Funny what happens you mark your man and run for your teammates

WTF happened the first Q?!

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
