December 2025: Eight teams should make it at least to a Prelim.

Well an argument can be made for the Pies…

That list was written by a mental person.

So.... you wrote it? 😁

Not finishing bottom 4, is the pass mark. But then i want a good draft pick perhaps to go after Butters or Humphries.

I'm not so worried about wins and losses next year. I do want to see us set a significant foundation from which we can build towards our next premiership.

Frankly the last four years have been a complete waste and have taken us further and further away from where we need to be.

A good indication will be whether we continue to gift games to players such as Salem, Langdon, Sparrow and Lever when their performances don't warrant selection.

10 wins would exceed expectations imv. I reckon 6-8 wins is par given we are a young team in transition

Pass ??

That we look like we have some semblance of a 'game' that can be improved and honed into a flag winner.

Have said for a bit, 26 is transition.

Want to see improvements in younger players... and minimum injuries all around .

Better fitness

The rest takes care of itself.

It's about installing the fundamentals.

Do that...it's a pass.

What's your Pass Mark for the Dees in 2026?

Collingwood GF - what absolute nonsense

No chance - BOOKMARK IT

BOOKMARK IT

In the history of the internet, has anybody ever bookmarked a comment spouting this phrase? 😁

I expect us to win 5 to 7 games next year, so I'll set the pass mark at 6.

10 wins is a little on the optimistic side.

Our midfield will not compete with the top sides on a consistent basis.

I think we'll go all right in 2026. The whole new broom thing. The change of coach allowed a moment where we could remove two players who, for all their merits, weren't cogs in the machine that we were trying to transition to.

It is interesting to think that part of King's appeal is that his overall plan for our way to play is very close to what Goodwin and the team were working towards already. King has just been able to come in without the baggage and with a mandate to make the brutal changes needed.

Nil predictability for 2026 Demons.

On the other hand, you have to laugh at Essendon's mark being 10 wins. "Just keep being what you have been for the last nine seasons, we all love it."

Collingwood's mark being a grand final is presumably on the basis that it is 'win or bust' for them. When your best and fairest top 10 has more players over 33 than under 23...

I'm stunned that anyone thinks merely 'avoiding the bottom 4' is good enough for North Melbourne. Alistair Clarkson has barely outperformed Mark Neeld despite coming in with as much authority and credibility as any coach could hope for, and a mandate to do whatever he felt necessary to turn things around. Maybe I just don't like Alistair Clarkson? Who knows.

New coach and gameplan yes, team in transition yes but young team?

Fwds : Miohcheck (flag) JVR, Fritsch (flag) Melksham, Chandler

Mids : Gawn, Viney, Kosi, Rivers, Sparrow, Landgon (all flag) Steele, Windsor (3rd season)

Def : Petty, Bowey, Salem, Lever, May, TMac (all flag), CJ, Turner

Young players : Langford, XL, Pickett, Taylor, Mathew’s.

And we’re running with the young team defence? Come on people….

We’ll be playing in the inaugural wildcard weekend.

That and Gold Coast to have a year like our 2019 would be more than satisfactory for me

Be the best ever 14th or 15th ranked side ever will be ideal

Bank another top 5 pick (plus GCS first rounder is handy)

And hope we can improve quickly in 2027

10 is hoped for.

I think 6 is a pass mark.

( I’m also going to include winning more close games than we lose )
