How about Jonesy? Did he also start following him today? 👀

He followed him down the street earlier today.

Unsure 100% but I also think he’s had Jonesy for a little bit too!

Did he train with him when he trained at the club pre draft or was that the year after Jones retired

Not saying they shouldn’t throw a fair bit at getting Trac

Sure, but what does "throw a fair bit at getting Trac" mean if it doesn't involve Humphrey? We don't want picks.

Pretty sure Lamby and JT have been into Humphries for a while so this isn’t ‘new’ . We have a head start over all others pursuing him which makes our chances all the better. Very unlikely he goes cold to another unknown club. Couple that with Kingy and I think we have a real good chance.

Issue is there's so many 'if's'. If they're pitching to both Humphrey and Flanders full midfield roles at the Dees thats only with the condition that one or both Trac and Clayton are gone.

The other clubs have the clarity to say 'if you want to come here, this is the role we have for you'

We on the other hand are currently pitching 'if you want to come here, depending on other player movements, there may be a full time midfield role for you'.

I feel the lack of uncertainty is going to hurt us big time.

No ifs, Tracc and Oliver deals will be done and that is your midfield clarity.

Surely we don’t lose Trac and Oliver without getting Humphrey? We’d be pretty sad without getting a star back, I reckon that would be a fail, hope the Dees play the hardball they keep telling us they’re going to play.

still so sad it’s come to this but hopefully we don’t feel too hard done by when all is said and done.

Going to be very difficult to get him to commit to us, without paying him overs and GCS overs as well. In my opinion, he is not a straight swap for Tracc. We would need another first round pick to at least be a serious option.

If I was in his position, I’d play out his contract, potentially get success in a very strong side, then move to TAS on a mega contract.

I do think with all the GC Academy talent coming there way and Petracca I do think if Humphrey asks to be traded they will trade him. However, he won’t be cheap.

Dees just need to get it done… But I’m thinking the Dees are In Deep for both Humphrey & Flanders as a package.

Humphrey, Flanders, Pick 6, GC 2nd round 2026 & 2027 to the Dees

Petracca, Pick 12 GWS (Oliver), Pick 23, Melb 1st 2026 & 2027

Walking around Melbourne's most popular walking tracks for a secret meeting is an interesting choice. For an instantly recognisable former player,a 200cm just announced senior coach and a player who's manager/ club hours earlier categorically ruled out any move

Not like they were trying to hide it, that's for sure.

I wish people would stop wishing away our first rounder next year…   it’ll be the last chance we get to get talent at the very top for a while

@Demon Forever any further updates on anything for us.

Cheers.

I tend not to ask. I let them tell me at their own time. Nothing at this stage. Stuff that I have written is purely just through convos. I don't expect to hear anything else as it's not like they get a view and call me straight away. Not that type of relationship and there would be an element of them protecting their a$$

A walk round the tan and being a former line coach is not enough to get him across the line, how much are we going to offer?

1.2 at a guess...need to outbid quite a few others....if we want to get this across the line.

Hopefully Flanders nominates us today and Humphrey follows suit. Then we work out the biggest trade deal ever for the pair of em.
