Langford has future captain written all over him

And Lindsay had noted leadership qualities in his draft year

Reckon weโ€™re well stocked if Gawn can hold on for a couple more seasons

And play on long enoughy that we can hopefully give him the flag send-off, that other (annoying) clubs have given their leaders

So thatโ€™s Allen and Draper as free agents, Ridley wants to go there, and theyโ€™ve got 3 academy picks ranked inside the top 20?

Wow.

How good* is free agency.

*And by good I mean really really bad.

Handy for some

Has Draper nominated Lions?

Haven't seen anything actually reported today beyond bigfooty/twitter gossip

We have Turner, Petty, Adams and TMac for next year. May if he stays. Jake is surplus to needs at this point.

May and T Mac have a year left if that

Adams has played 1 game ever

So we really have Turner and Petty. We are light on for key backs in my view

It gives us a year to look around. Derksen is very likely on our short list too.

Four is more than enough. Adams will be fine too.

JVR is capable of swinging back to defence

We're in a position to try and cash in on someone like Lever (Petty, Turner, Adams, JVR, Derkson?) is fine. There may not be a super star May calibre guy in that group but there are two good/potential very good ones in Petty and Disco.

Iโ€™m more than happy for Brisbane to take on Allen, Draper and Ridley.

They might get 10 games combined from the 3 of them.

If lever is on the way out, can someone tell me the closest dump to his house, wouldnโ€™t mind some free merch

Gee, Lever on the way out? For someone who was so invested in the Casey group yesterday, more so than any other senior player, walking around the huddle giving words of encouragement....me thinks not

Levers insta post tells a similar story with the key ring he received for his photo. I canโ€™t post the photo due to the size

and, just maybe by VFL accounts, Fullarton as a tall defender. maybe???

If he had actually toured Arden St, a journo would have posted about it.

Highly doubt this one is true.

Heard that rumour to.

Just check if he's still following Melbourne on insta. That will tell you.

also, who reported this?

It was a made up account on twitter/X not a real article

I donโ€™t think itโ€™s real. Whilst he may be considering his options, he can do so in the privacy of his own home. And let his agent do the talking. Heโ€™s not stupid.

I try to forget him, He isnt a replacement for Lever. He hasnt shown that much at all IMO.

Lever hasn't been fit for the past two years, why would next year (at age 30) be any different?

Lot of talk of Curnow wanting to get to Geelong. Now i dont think it will happen, but im super keen to hear how the media talk about this in contrast with Trac/Oliver last year. Already, it is being handled in a much more neutral way compared to us last year.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
