Anyone who watched the Casey/Bris game would have to have noticed Spargo dominating the game. Iโ€™d select him for Windsorโ€™s spot.

Replace speedy with treacle?

OUT: Howes, TMac, Windsor

IN: May, Kentfield, Billings/Kolt

Petty back, Adams/Kentfield sub

TMac is the glue that holds the backline together right now.

Billings has, IMVHO, no future with the senior side so should stay and enjoy a flag tilt at Casey

Adams and Kentfield both very unsuitable substitutes

Hawks missing three from their best 22โ€ฆ Day, Weddle and Maginness. I think Maginness is best 22 but theyโ€™ve put him in & out at times !!

they wont bring spargo back in as he is one game off qualifying for vfl finals, so maybe itll be sharp or kolt for windsor

It is important to get the Casey players to make the finals and do well. So senior players should qualify if possible.

It might be the only finals some players ever get. Best to make the most out of it for players and the club. Both Casey and MFC

Oh alright, if nobody else can be bothered.

May in for Adams (omitted) and Sharp in for Windsor (injured) as widely predicted.

Luke Bruest Breust has announced that he won't be going around again next year.

Now we're picking the senior side to help Casey avoid a wildcard game. What a time to be alive.

In. May. Out. Adams

In. Sharp. Out. Windsor (inj)

May comes straight back in. Adams was ok but was physically pushed aside too easily and needs more protein and gym work

Sharp in for his pace. Give him a starting role and assign to Impey. Do not let their half backs run it through the farrrkn corridor !!!!!!

Nailed it

We are so boring. You'd think we'd try some younger players in a dead rubber, but no we keep playing yo yo and bring in May and Sharp. The selection panel are lame.

We did this the end of 2016. I remember because I got ahead of myself and got a ticket to the last rd of the year in Geelong before our embarrassing loss to a pathetic Carlton team, then rendered the last rd of the year a dead rubber!

we lost to Geelong by 100+ (Roos last game)

Steven Mayโ€™s 250th Game against the Hawks, big crowd at the G, MFC replacement game. Heโ€™s had to sit out the last three games 1 due to concussion the other 2 MRO misfire. He is a big in and Sharp has pace that we lack, Sharp will help with our transition game now and going forward. The selection panel are smarter than most on here and are hoping to push the Hollywood hawkes all the way.

Doesnt seem we are trying new things at the selection table which is fine. Id love to knock off the hawks and pies to give the club some confidence into 2026.

On field, saw some newer things last week on field with Chaplin. Gawn and Langford both pushed forward more, Seems he's trying to address our biggest weakness of marks i50. Had Salem in for a couple of cbas. Dont mind that but hope he gives Rivers and maybe Chandler a run in there also.

Hawks are bloody good forward of the ball and particularly inside 50s. They dont stop moving and create space very well. They dont have a player in the top 50 of player ratings but pushing for top 4. Sign of a very well coached team.

Anyone else feel like some of these Thursday night fixtures are giving some teams a bigger leg up in terms of longer breaks?

Round 19 Blues had a 9 day break against us while we only had a 6 day break.

Round 22 Dogs had a 10 day break going in against us and kicked 6 goals in the last.

Round 23 Hawks have a 9 day break against us while we're backing up off 6 days.

I wouldn't be surprised if scores are close at 3qtr time and we get run over again.

And before you say, "swings and roundabouts" for those Thursday night teams, if you play a Thursday night game your break is usually 5 or 6 days before so you often just get a 1 day difference between the two teams. For the week after, there are some teams getting 9-10 day breaks vs an opposition getting 6 days.

I have a feeling May will clock Ginnivan or Watson

I reckon the changes are fair.

Aside from early on, the pressure and effort was there. Petty and JVR are slowly starting to click.

It would be harsh to drop anyone else

Hope we give them a proper game and beat the [censored]
