Sad we are getting our footy joy from schadenfreude of other teams, rather than from our own success.

That said, go Eagles, smash the Blues.

Schadenfreude and looking forward to the draft. It's just like old times.

I can see Swans absolutely winning it this year

I could see any of the top 8 winning it actually, Steven Bradbury style.   Which makes our injury destroyed season all the more sad.

Honest question...

Why are there so many Freo supporters in Sydney?

Freo doesn't strike me as a big club, I would imagine their home base supporters travel well?

Surely most WA people living in the eastern coast are West Coast supporters.

Just a reminder that if Fremantle beats GWS, and Hawthorn and the Dogs win as expected tomorrow, then if Carlton loses to West Coast they are almost certainly out of the finals - they would have to beat St Kilda next week and then would need either Hawthorn to lose to North (and to make up a 1.5% gap, but the chance of Hawthorn losing to North seems miniscule) or the Dogs to lose to GWS (and to make up an 11% gap, which is almost too much for one game).

Whoever would have predicted I woukd be cheering Jessie Hogan to have a big day out so that Carlton's season is still alive ... footy is a cruel mistress 😁

Freo are a serious chance to miss finals

what an insane season

and i still have them as one of the main flag threats

Brisbane off to a great start. Hopefully it continues.

Only 1 free to Pies, stacks to Brisbane. That's what happens when you defecate on the umpires after the game, Fly!

Jesse now has 66 goals for the season and is now 10 goals clear of 2nd (Charlie Curnow) in the Coleman Medal with one round left.

Congratulations Jesse! So happy that he's playing great footy again.

no thanks; can't stand that franchise

if bloods don't win the premiership then they'll have wasted one of the most dominant years a club can have

meanwhile, bears should've won at least one in the fagan era

If they grew up south of the Swan River, they are likely to be Freo supporters.

Though it hurts to type this, I SO want Collingwood to win. They will have a sniff, think all they need to do is sneak into the finals etc

Then they will meet the DEMONS. It'd be a big game and beating them would be magnificent.

C'mon Pies.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
