Why are we not in the conversation for JUH?

Hawks, Pies, Tigers, Dons and Swans all circling. Why the heck aren't we throwing the kitchen sink in the ring. Petty is likely to leave. TMac and BBB on the brink of retirement. Gus forced out of the game. We will have plenty of room in the cap.

Go out and get Jamarra Ugle-Hagan!!!

"Why are we not in the conversation for JUH?"

And who says we are not?   Does every club have to come out and give a press release whenever they are looking at an opposition player?

I’m wondering how high and long Landers’ would be prepared to go?

5 years, $1.25 million a year?

10 years, $1 million+ a year?

What figures would be the top end you’d be happy to go?

1M is the new 800k

Estimated that there will be 60 players on $1M a year by the end of 2024

Can mark, can't kick

i always though he was a great pack mark. when did he forget how to mark?

I really like JUH as a player and think he will be a star, just don’t think he’s right for us.

We would get more benefit from a bigger body who has a bigger presence with pack marking ala McKay, Larkey, Lewis

Whatever you nitpickers about JUH and his marking or kicking he had had only 3 seasons in the AFL.

Contrary to opinion he is ahead of Rooi at this stage in development. But is a year ahead in playing AFL.

He is a very skilled player and a very strong mark on occasions.

For anyone in D/L to say he is not the sort of player Melb needs to have now is completely out of touch with building a premiership list. Who would he replace on our forward line NOW?

Only Petty and Fritta and JVR are a like for like but KUH could play any where like Fritta. Be handy on a flank I reckon. Yes his kicking is not as reliable as say JVR or Petts but like all good/ great players ( Trac ) not all are the finished product in all skills.

Naughton is very iffy also kicking for goal but again you wouldn’t say no.

Go after him Dees and throw the book at him. Far too good to not chase.

Why stop at JUH? How about Daicos (1 or 2) ... and Cameron/s (Jeremy/Charlie) ...and the 2 big boys from Carlton?

I’ll take him for 10 years at $1 million a year then, haha

Perfect fit for us - Demonland, I mean....

He'd be our new 'soft as butter' 10,000 page, 100,000 post, 10 year punching bag

Can't wait!

Marking isn't an issue, can't kick straight. Would be a good intercept defender.

sorry. misread your initial post

I though McKay was the most unreliable kick in the league but he's slotting them well this year so far. so there's hope for Naughton as well

No but his management are the ones that are most likely to release the story to the media.

If Petty ends up in Adelaide colours I'd happily take JUH. He's already a good player and could break out big time this year.

Early contender for post of the year. I like my droll tres sec.

Yep to half time today he looks the the prototype centre half forward. Very sticky hands.

Would pay whatever is asked to get him in

His new contract is likely to surpass that of Franklins, needs to justify it.

The comparisons to Buddy is bordering insane.

Not Naughton , hardly saw him today. Could replace Brown when he retires

He's a freak, we're lucky he can't kick the thing....or if he ever becomes a dee, we're unlucky he can't kick the thing...

Marked well. Kicking off. He’s a very good no 2. Don’t think he has the height for a kpf1 role

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
