Can't help but be super impressed with the way they go about it. Putting Port to the sword and they genuinely look like a premiership contender in my opinion.

They should absolutely dare to dream because they play a brand that is well equipped on the big stage.

I mean watching Jesse Hogan in itself makes me depressed but I'm bloody happy for him and hope he gets success.

Toby Green, Josh Kelly and Lachie Whitfield are genuine stars of the competition

They're my go to team for the finals.

Is Jesse under a long contract with GWS?

We coud have the return of the prodigal son 😅

100% i am. I feel like if they win, i won’t be as sad. I hate the other 3 clubs left in it all equally and would love for them to lose so yes.

Their big test is next week. Playing in front of 90K Collingwood fans is going to be a true test of resolve. Win that and I think they’ll knock of the Lions.

A GWS vs Lions final would be great for the game but secretly the AFL would be scathing given the role they played in trying to get Collingwood vs Carlton final.

Let’s see

Pies flag - nightmare hell on earth

Blue flag - see above

Brisbane flag - Zorko gets a medal

It’s an obvious choice. Go the orange.

100%

Just dreaming, but if we'd had Hogan and Bedford in our side last night, we win.

Apart from many other impressive aspects of their game, they seem to have put a huge amount of work into getting rid of the pill to advantage when tackled.

Loving their work. Love that they're tearing the 'never tear us apart' Port apart and that they perform so well with eff all supporters. Now that we're out of it, I hope they go all the way.

Ha. No-one has mentioned that GWS beating Port, puts us at 6th, instead of 5th and improves our draft hand by one spot. That's enough to barack for the Giants (and my daughter likes their song)

Cheering for the Orange franchise?

not in a million years

you want to encourage Gill and his cronies? 5 thousand fans at games.

if your cheering purely based on not wanting someone else to win well that’s how Donald Trump got in power

Did we clear up whether draft order is determined by end of H&A position?

Definitely want them to lose the least out of Brisbane, Pies and Carlton.

Nothing would give me greater satisfaction than GWS rolling Collingwood in front of 90,000 stunned mullets, ruing another wasted home and away season for the Pies.

I thought we lost to a BOG ordinary team in Alice Springs at the time but it couldn’t be any further from the truth.

Includes finals.
eg Last year we had pick 15 (Jefferson) yet finished 2nd.

EDIT: MY bad, pick #15 was part of the trade for jackson, but I know I'm right on this issue

I’m %100 on board.

I used to despise the expansion clubs, especially GWS, but now feel that they and their fans have served their time and deserve some success.

Wrapped for Jesse and Bedford.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
