I came to Thailand for spiritual enlightenment and I must say my stay in Bangkok has been wonderfully ..... err .... uplifting.

I have consulted my guru ( not Bob ) and I have been assured that the Demons will win today's encounter with the Dorks by 46 points.

Hope you werent wearing the budgie smugglers

Even with 20/75 vision the dog could see THE BALL WASN’T TOUCHED!

Need to move on.

Though, given what happened to Adelaide yesterday and us, they need much better Tech, that can overrule umps.

Kev, I still have dreams that Simon Eishold kicks his goal in the 1987 Prelim.

Moving on isn’t my specialty.

I'm so traumatised by the their last goal, I cannot remember Simons shot on goal. Did it go through and not given?

Anything less than a forty point win will not suffice.

Big day for Max. Boys need to get it done.

Plus with a few teams going into finals with a lot of wins behind them, we need some form as well.

Hopefully Smith and Jvr work well together.

Playing the old enemy again. Don't even like calling their name, use the Potter, "they, that should not be named"

Get it done Dees.

If you don’t turn up today and choose to watch on tv instead (and you’re in Melbourne obviously), then shame on you. Final home game of the year. In the race for top 4. Captain Max playing his 200th. Weather is mild.
Don’t be the sort of Melbourne supporter everyone laughs about. Turn up, make noise, and let’s bury those Hawks!

Has junior footy finished as well? From memory it normally ends late August.

The Hawks can have their moments (and have had them in recent weeks). They can also dip and put in poor performances (that is why they are 16th). Expecting a solid Dees win.

This is what I’m hoping for. For every 1-2 good wins, they put in a shocker.

He was 11 metres out on a 30 degree angle. Absolute shank.

After the game Northey walked to that goal square to see if that surface was substandard.

The way to deal with a young team like this is to hit them harder around the contest than they have been getting hit recently. Second last round I reckon they could put the queue in the rack if we make it very uncomfortable for them from the jump.

If we let them play the way they're wanting to play this could go very badly for us.

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was

UNDER THE PUMP by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons have been left languishing near the bottom of the VFL table after suffering a 32-point defeat at the hands of stand alone club Williamstown at Casey Fields on Sunday. The Demons suffered a major setback before the game even started when AFL listed players Ben Brown, Marty Hore and Josh Schache were withdrawn from the selected side. Only Schache was confirmed as an injury replacement, the other two held over as possible injury replacements for Melbourne’s Thursday night fixt
