You don’t think Brisbane is worried about their record at the MCG, given you gotta win there to win a flag?

edit: I just listened to Fagan talk about this in the post match conference. He seemed to laugh it off but ultimately said he doesn’t know if it’s an issue or not.

After losing to a bottom four club coming back from a big loss in Adelaide i can assure you.... he now knows it's an issue.

Going by your avatar, that doesn't surprise me one bit.

PS: Squash Courts are inside and you play in court, whereas in tennis you play on court, even if there is a roof.

If the Daicos bros have what I just had, I legit feel sorry for them.

I have never felt so unwell.

Woke up with white tonsils, sore throat, headache, running nose... slept almost 20 straight hours. Zero energy. Couldn't eat. Lasted 2-3 days. Then suddenly better.

Can't see them getting up for Monday if they're still sick today. What's goint around Melbourne atm is brutal.

Apparently they are 10 times worse!

GOOD!🤣

They were paddling in that last quarter, which is why the hawks attacked with run all game.

Incomparable to their running power they have shown most of the season, including their first half blitz of us in round two.

It didn't look like a target match for them.

They are no different to us - it's all about September.

@binman interested as to why you think Brisbane have shown running power all season.  Statistically, they are at the bottom of running power and have only outrun Essendon this year.  My guess is it’s why they struggle at the G.  Also, the Hawks are actually a good running team and are the only team to match us in total distance and high speed distance this year. They are inconsistent like any young team though.

So it’s probably not a surprise the hawks, despite being near the bottom, have beaten the Lions, who have been pushing for top 4, each of the last 3 years at the G.  You could argue it cost the Lions a top 4 spot last year. It may cost them again this year.

There is vision of Nick Daicos training today on Collingwood’s social media platforms. Where are these rumours about illness coming from

Well I just spent about 3 hours around crowds at Rising in the city tonight and will be at the game with 85k+ on Monday.

I'm doomed aren't I?

Just had a look at the Collingwood training thread on Bigfooty forum.

- Elliott didn’t do match sim and apparently said to supporters that’s he’s not playing.

- McStay didn’t do match sim either.

- McCreey a solid chance to play.

- Cox trained well despite COVID rumours.

- J Daicos didn’t train due to illness.

Was comparing their running.power against the hawks to their normal levels.

You're right, they are not quick, or great runners, and it is no doubt a factor in their poor record at the g.

But they had no spread at all in the last quarter against the hewks. No zip either

And not much better in the second (I didn't see the first half).

That was not an issue until the last couple of rounds.

The hawks really looked to exploit that flatnes.

But as you point out, they have done so for the last few years.

Lets hope that all of these players under a cloud wake up feeling lower than a shizzenhuiser carters top hat!

Not concerned  but I would like to know the reason    I could not find a Casey side up either and they only have 5 hours to go      Has Melbourne got a dose of the poos   or has Collingwood ??

There must be a chance that more Magpies will be under a cloud  because of their interaction with the infected players recently.

@kev martin you popping down to Goschs this morning? I think some of us need some kind of update, the game is taking too long to get here.

Too many words and it freaks me out. Just say…

…Collingwood infected cloud.

Yeah, that’s better. 3 words. Better.

Just boarding a plane from Canberra for tomorrow's game, hope it's a good weekend.

The weather is at least looking promising. No rain is good news.

If any Collingwood player have had the flu/covid and play they will fall in a hole in the second half of the game. Seen it before with teams including our own many years ago. The Pies also played in WA last weekend and are they have had an extra couple of days to get over it, but The Bomber are the only team to win after that trip this year and they just fell in. I am expecting us to run them off their legs in the second half.

Many views, but mostly I like to think this is about messaging from the media outlets, preparing the great Collingwood unwashed  for a loss. It’s either that or our game is now more transparent… 🤷‍♂️😊

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
