The chances we have had going inside F50, our delivery has been poor. Twice, Tom MacDonald on the perfect lead, each time kicked over his head. Fritsch's field kicking is a worry.

But it is Port's forward spread from a stoppage that is killing us. Our defensive mindset was missing. And our groundball play is ugly.

Should be further behind. Look understimulated and playing safe. 6 touches in total between Trac and Viney. Need to get some heat on the contest and some pressure when the ball, comes to ground inside 50.

Surely we have the highest % of giving away goals in the last minute of quarters?

lose play theirshort passing is excellent our coverage of their lose men is woeful and our smalls are virtually non-existent when the ball comes to ground. Not a good first quarter, hopefully they will pull their finger out and cover the lose men dont give them easy possessions through the middle of the ground. without that 50m we would have scored 2points for the quarter.

Port have 5 players around the ball to our 2.whats happened to Lever the last few games?

Got a case of the fumble fingers.

Port look clean and always have somebody there. Are there 22 of them out there?

Gotta bring some intensity!!!

Game day thread in meltdown already. You’d think this team deserves a bit of credit, no?

This is not 2021 sadly.

Another poor quarter. We’re yet to find our rhythm against any decent teams yet this year. Still plenty of time to get going tonight, but we need to adjust to the wet conditions. We’re fumbling the ball and slipping over and getting sucked into the contest. As soon as one port player wins the ball and flicks it outside the inner ring, they’ve got numbers and take off while we’re left flat footed. They’re basically doing to us what we perfected in 2021.

Pretty concerning how we have played against top 8 contenders this year. they beat us the same way every time. Quick movement through corridor off turnover. Numbers in F50. A healthy Richmond doesn't get run over.

Lots of time to turn it around but we've just consistently struggled against top 8 teams since Round 11 2021.

Petty out is simply a disaster. We cannot get the ball past the half back line.

Petty out is a disaster I agree, but we have 14 inside 50s to 15, so we are getting it down there. Delivery to our forwards is pox!

OLIVER ON 11 OR SO STANDING UP

Yeah but what is he doing with his possessions? I could kick it out to nobody or handball it over my head

Start guarding players NOT grass. After the kick in or turn  over in our forward line PICK YOUR OPPONENT UP.....FfS. And why are we still in 2023 the worst team in the last 2 minutes of every quarter. Give up goals and it's happened for as long as I've watched footy. How about make a tackle stick too. [censored] start.

Burton was too tall for Hibberd.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
