Sparrow has gone backwards.

We are NOT premier favourites.

Perhaps the players think they are.

Look it's a bad performance but people need to get a grip.

Collingwood lost to West Coast's seconds last year.

Geelong were 3-2 after 5 rounds and 4-3 after 7 last year.

Richmond similar in 2019.

Look if this was another team I wouldn't be as mad. But it's Essendon. It's horrible they'll be 4-1 sitting above us on the ladder

Call the first half what you will, that quarter was next level bad. To think we were still in it at half time and could have corrected some mistakes to still win is mind boggling.

In half an hour we have fallen so far back it's not funny while the Bombers have developed a nice blue print to beat us. Don't give me the rubbish about players out or if we gave more effort, this one will sting and need some serious work to move past.

This quarter alone has been such a let down, I expected a fierce response and it didn't happen.

And that’s the most disappointing part.
Only 17 points down at 1/2 time and that was their response.
Arrogant, pathetic and embarrassing.

God we need Max back asap

Max wouldn't make much of a difference with this type of disorganised trash.

Up the wings, bomb it long. Not hungry enough.

This should’ve been a percentage building win against a loser club. Instead we’ve [censored] the bed and no one is putting their hand up to try and stem the tide. This has been a game lost by poor leadership and laziness. Our worst loss since 2019-2020.

That's probably the mentality they went in with

Sparrow has been poor along with many others. Only Viney and Trac contributing in the midfies

ld.

I don't understand the hype around Sparrow, not really a good contributor most days.

We lack hunger and desire. 2021 we were manic. We are a shadow of that group

It's a concern.

Bombers are playing a faultless game really.  Collectively we are terrible.  None of the names have fired a shot. Good quarter by Petty.

Brad Scott has given goody an absolute bath, has showed everyone else very simply how to beat us.

No Gawn and no Lever and we have 0 leadership.

Embarrassing from Viney, May, Trac, Tmac and Oliver. Doing nothing.

Things could have been worse. This could have been at the G. Take the loss and move on.

Clearly we are a bit off, given the WA travel and shorter break than Essendon, gives them an edge. Throw in the injuries to Lever has thrown us off balance.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
