Should we expect Kozzy to be suspended for that head bump?

I can’t imagine after the week of lawsuits happening that the AFL hasn’t had a word to the MRP to be harsher on hits like this.

I’d be shocked if he didn’t get a week.

3 goals in front and couldn't have played worse up to the 20 minute mark of the quarter. Hopefully 2nd half is better.

Also huge respect to Brodie Grundy.

Ran in with such intense to stick up for Kozzie in that scuffle.

All while English was getting ragdolled by Spargo and Bowey 😂

In super slow mo it hits his chest and then the rest hits head area and he gets straight up, I would normally say he prov gets one, but no concussion, played game out, initial contact is to the chest… 4 weeks.

Yep. If he flattened out Smith it would be worse. in a week that ex players are putting a case together & with the AFL trying to cut out the head high contact he'll get something

He'll get weeks unfortunately.

Can't be doing that in time where concussion is a very sensitive and serious concerning matter.

It looked like he may of been protecting himself but I think he may get a week.

A couple of observations from the couch:

We look much better when Max holds his marks.  (#Captain Obvious)

Grundy needs to vary his tapouts in the centre rather than directing it behind him (ie towards the Dogs' goals) every time which the opposition are pouncing on.

Pickett might not get suspended.  It was shoulder to shoulder I think and Smith bouncing straight back up will be in Kozzy's favour.  Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if the Tribunal gave him life without parole.

It's a typical Demons v Dogs game with momentum swings.  Be nice to bury them in the 3rd quarter.

sadly I think I agree. didn’t make head contact though so might get lucky. it’s a bad look , it’s early in the season so he might get made an example of.

Ha ha I understand what you mean. But we need him on the park and Byron was a star but people forget how good a player he was.

Everything was a dumpster fire until they put those two and Gawn in the middle and then we started to work. We just can’t do without them. They are the most talented duo in the AFL. Their chemistry is outstanding.

Yeah it was, but Viney allows them to play attacking football knowing thedefensive side is covered.

They're talking a week on TV for kozzie.

I think there's a massive argument that his intention was to hit the shoulder and he got 95% there- a free kick downfield for a late hit seems an appropriate penalty

I don't think Daisy was there in the lap the girl's did. She was the captain & that could have been her final farewell. Bit disappointed

I hope it had nothing to do with geelong.

He will be a big out. Stupid act. Brain fade.

I know that was a great comeback but I don't think we are even playing that well yet.

Four to five impacting the game as yet.

Defence doing well without May.

Expecting an even bigger third.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
